Kyiv Hit by Deadly Overnight Strike; Russia Held Responsible for Attack That Killed 9
As peace talks falter, Russia escalates while Ukraine’s leadership refuses compromise and Biden’s foreign policy continues to fail.

While the world sleeps, the war in Ukraine rages on and with it, the senseless loss of life that continues under weak leadership and stubborn diplomacy. In the early hours of Thursday morning, Russia launched a deadly missile and drone attack on Kyiv, killing at least nine civilians and injuring more than 70 others, including children.
The attack began around 1:00 a.m., hitting five separate neighborhoods across Ukraine’s capital. Fires broke out in multiple residential areas, including Sviatoshynskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts. At least 42 people were hospitalized, according to Ukraine’s emergency services, and the death toll is expected to rise as first responders continue to search through rubble.
According to Ukraine’s military, over 45 drones and ballistic missiles were detected in the airspace. The scale and coordination of the attack mark one of the deadliest strikes on Kyiv in recent months.
But here’s the part the media won’t tell you: this brutal escalation came just hours after peace negotiations broke down, and President Trump publicly criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for stalling diplomacy.
Trump didn’t mince words. Speaking about the ongoing stalemate, he said Zelenskyy was “prolonging the killing field” by refusing to even discuss the possibility of territorial concessions most notably, Crimea. “It’s been harder to deal with Zelenskyy than Russia,” Trump admitted.
While Trump pushes for peace even if it means hard conversations about realistic outcomes Zelenskyy insists that any recognition of Russian-occupied territory is a red line. A red line that, so far, has cost Ukraine over 500,000 military and civilian casualties and nearly $300 billion in infrastructure damage.
Under Joe Biden’s so-called leadership, this war has dragged on with no end in sight. Billions of American taxpayer dollars have been funneled into this conflict, while our own southern border remains wide open, inflation soars, and crime runs rampant in U.S. cities. What exactly are we getting in return?
Here’s the truth:
The Biden administration has spent over $113 billion in aid to Ukraine since 2022.
U.S. weapons continue to flow into Eastern Europe with little oversight, while American veterans go homeless.
The Pentagon has acknowledged “limited visibility” over how Ukraine uses advanced military equipment fueling concerns about black market sales and future blowback.
Meanwhile, Russia gets bolder, and Ukraine’s people pay the price. We can’t keep pretending that endless war is strength. Real leadership seeks peace, even if that peace requires uncomfortable negotiations.
It’s time to stop indulging Zelenskyy’s fantasy of total victory. Trump understands the art of the deal and it’s long past time we made one.
