Russia unleashes largest drone attack as Ukraine war spirals
As chaos erupts in California, Newsom floats illegal tax scheme while clashing with Trump administration.

Russia has just launched the largest drone attack of the Ukraine war reminding the world what unchecked aggression looks like when American leadership is nowhere to be found.
Late Sunday into Monday, Russia fired nearly 500 drones and 20 missiles into Ukraine, striking deep into the country’s central and western regions. Ukraine’s air defense forces claimed to intercept 277 drones and 19 missiles, but at least 10 Russian weapons still struck targets, damaging key infrastructure, including a military airfield just 40 miles from NATO territory in Poland.
This massive escalation is believed to be retaliation for Ukraine’s earlier drone offensive that disabled multiple Russian bombers. The Kremlin’s counterattack came in waves, with an earlier strike on Kyiv Friday involving 400 drones and 40 missiles.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about Ukraine anymore. This is about what happens when the United States elects a president who projects weakness on the world stage. Under Biden, we’ve seen:
Over $175 billion funneled into Ukraine, with no clear endgame.
A Europe on edge, as Russian missiles inch closer to NATO borders.
No real progress toward peace just more body bags and headlines.
In stark contrast, President Donald Trump has stepped into the diplomatic vacuum. Speaking with Vladimir Putin last week, Trump confirmed he urged the Russian leader to back down from further escalation, warning, “Don’t do it. You shouldn’t do it. You should stop it.” Trump added, “It’s probably not going to be pretty,” but reiterated that open dialogue remains essential.
While the Biden administration fumbles and Congress obsesses over more aid packages, Trump is doing what real leaders do taking calls, confronting dictators, and calling for calm.
Ukraine’s top presidential aide, Andriy Yermak, admitted the obvious truth “Russia is escalating the war and has no intention of stopping it. Any escalation can only be stopped by force.” Yet under Biden, American "force" amounts to little more than press releases and empty gestures.
There was a glimmer of humanity Monday, as both sides initiated a multi-phase prisoner exchange. According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, the latest swap includes the wounded and young soldiers under age 25. It's a rare act of civility in an otherwise brutal conflict but no thanks to Biden’s foreign policy team, which has spent more time avoiding blame than pursuing peace.
America cannot afford more weakness. We need strength, strategy, and seriousness on the world stage. And we’re only going to get that by restoring leadership that puts American interests and global stability first.
