RFK Jr’s Running Mate Hints at Potential Alliance with Donald Trump

The Kennedy campaign considers teaming up with Trump to stop a potential Harris presidency.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, has hinted at a potential alliance with former President Donald Trump. This possible collaboration aims to prevent what they see as a disastrous Kamala Harris presidency. Shanahan, speaking on the Impact Theory podcast, revealed that the Kennedy campaign is weighing two options: either continuing their independent bid or joining forces with Trump to avoid splitting the conservative vote.

Shanahan stated, “There are two options that we’re looking at...we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump. Or we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump and...explain to our base why we’re making this decision.”

Polls suggest that Harris could perform better against Trump in swing states if Kennedy remains in the race. This has prompted serious discussions within the Kennedy camp about their strategy going forward. The underlying concern is that Kennedy’s independent run might inadvertently pave the way for a Harris victory, which they are determined to prevent.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. himself has been vocal about his disdain for the current Democratic Party under Harris's influence. He recently took to social media, condemning what he perceives as the party's betrayal of its foundational values. In a lengthy tweet, Kennedy lambasted the Democratic Party's shift towards censorship, lockdowns, and alignment with Big Tech and Big Pharma, contrasting it sharply with the legacy of his father and uncle.

Kennedy emphasized, “VP Harris’s Democratic Party would be unrecognizable to my father and uncle...I cannot reconcile it with my values.” He criticized Harris for being "scared to debate" and resorting to "infantile slogans" instead of articulating a coherent vision for the country.

The frustration with the current Democratic leadership runs deep in Kennedy’s camp, leading them to consider the unprecedented move of aligning with Trump. The decision hinges on whether they believe their independent candidacy can truly challenge the status quo or if they risk becoming spoilers in a critical election.

This potential alliance signals a growing concern among both independent and conservative voters about the direction the country could take under a Harris presidency. As the 2024 election approaches, all eyes will be on the Kennedy campaign's next move.
