RFK Jr. Sets Urgent Deadline to Reveal Cause of Autism Surge

Trump-backed investigation promises answers by September as autism rates continue to climb across the U.S.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has ignited a national firestorm with a bold promise by September, the American people will finally know what is behind the staggering rise in autism diagnoses.

Speaking with President Donald Trump this week, Kennedy announced a sweeping global research initiative involving hundreds of scientists, all aimed at uncovering the root cause of the autism epidemic that has been accelerating for decades.

“The autism rates have gone from 1 in 10,000 when I was a kid to 1 in 31 today,” RFK told Trump. “At your direction, we’ve launched a massive testing and research effort... By September, we will know what has caused the autism epidemic and we will be able to eliminate those exposures.”

President Trump praised the initiative and Kennedy’s leadership, calling the upcoming announcement potentially the “biggest news conference” in health policy history.

Here’s the reality many in the medical establishment won’t say out loud:

  • A 2020 CDC study estimated 1 in 36 children in the U.S. have autism. RFK Jr. now says that number has surged to 1 in 31.

  • Autism diagnoses have exploded by more than 30,000% since the 1970s an increase no serious nation can afford to ignore.

  • The investigation, led by HHS and supported by the CDC, is reportedly examining all possible environmental and pharmaceutical factors, including longstanding questions surrounding childhood vaccinations.

The Biden-era approach to this issue? Silence, denial, and deflection. The Trump administration is doing what the public has begged for: demanding real answers, honest data, and actual accountability.

HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon underscored the gravity of the situation:

“CDC will leave no stone unturned in its mission to figure out what exactly is happening. The American people expect high quality research and transparency.”

The investigation also has the attention of NIH director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who, while skeptical of a vaccine-autism link, admitted there is no scientific consensus on the cause of the autism spike and endorsed the broad research agenda.

“I don’t generally believe there is a link, based on my reading of the literature,” Bhattacharya said. “But... I don’t think any scientist really knows the cause of it.”

This is the kind of honesty the country has been missing and the type of leadership only Trump and his administration are willing to pursue.

The announcement expected this fall could finally crack open a public health mystery that has plagued millions of American families. And for once, the government may actually deliver answers instead of excuses.
