Pritzker Accuses ICE of Racial Harassment Amid Chicago Immigration Sweep

In an outrageous display of race-baiting politics, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has accused U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents of “harassing people for not being white” a statement that would be laughable if it weren’t so dangerous.

Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Chicago’s far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson on Monday, Pritzker railed against the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement sweep in downtown Chicago, branding the agents “masked intruders” and accusing them of racial profiling. His exact words. “ICE is running around the Loop harassing people for not being white.”

This isn't just irresponsible it's a slanderous attack on federal law enforcement officers tasked with doing the job Pritzker and his Democrat allies refuse to do: enforce immigration law and protect American citizens.

The governor’s tantrum came after ICE agents detained hundreds of illegal immigrants over the weekend many in downtown Chicago during a targeted operation announced weeks ago by President Trump. The goal? Remove individuals in the country illegally, particularly those flagged as flight risks or having defied court orders.

Pritzker’s complaint? That “60% of the individuals ICE has taken in Illinois this year have no criminal convictions.” He fails to mention, of course, that being in the country illegally is itself a violation of federal law and ignoring court-ordered removal is a direct challenge to U.S. sovereignty.

Let’s break it down:

• Chicago has a city ordinance prohibiting police from assisting federal immigration authorities a classic sanctuary city policy.

• Mayor Johnson recently issued an executive order banning masks for law enforcement, clearly aimed at federal agents trying to protect their identities during enforcement actions.

• Over 7 million illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border since Joe Biden took office and cities like Chicago are collapsing under the weight of the crisis.

Rather than help fix the problem, Pritzker throws gasoline on the fire by accusing law enforcement of racism a tired, divisive narrative that ignores facts and inflames tensions.

Here’s what Governor Pritzker conveniently forgets:

• ICE operations target individuals with final orders of removal, meaning their legal cases have already played out and they lost.

• Many “non-criminal” detainees are repeat immigration violators, identity thieves, or those who failed to appear in court.

• Racial profiling is not ICE policy identification is based on databases, court records, and warrants, not skin color.

This is not about race it’s about law and order. And while President Trump moves to clean up the mess created by four years of Biden’s open-border disaster, the Left accuses those trying to enforce the law of being white supremacists.

It’s shameful. It’s dishonest. And it shows just how deeply Democratic leaders like Pritzker have lost the plot.

As the 2024 election looms, Americans will have to choose: a party that enforces the law or one that protects lawlessness and cries racism when called out.
