Dave Portnoy Calls Kamala Harris the "Worst Presidential Candidate" Ever

Barstool founder slams media for gaslighting Americans into supporting Harris.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy launched a scathing critique of Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her the "worst presidential candidate" in U.S. history and accusing the media of gaslighting the American public into believing she’s fit for office. In a fiery rant posted on X, Portnoy ripped into the narrative that Harris represents some kind of "change" from President Biden, despite serving as his Vice President during one of the most disastrous administrations in recent history.

Portnoy began by pointing out the glaring contradictions in Harris’ campaign messaging. While at rallies, Harris has repeatedly claimed it’s "time to turn the page," suggesting she’s a different leader than Biden. However, in friendly interviews on shows like The View and Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Harris quickly backtracks, insisting she would continue Biden’s policies. Portnoy played a clip of Harris openly admitting that she wouldn’t do anything differently from Biden, leaving many wondering what exactly she stands for.

  • Kamala’s contradictions: Harris claims to be a change candidate while stating she wouldn’t do anything different than Biden.

  • Media gaslighting: Portnoy argues that the media is forcing a narrative that paints Harris as a competent leader, despite her poor track record.

  • Harris’ failed 2020 campaign: Portnoy reminded viewers that Harris didn’t even make it to the primaries in her last presidential run, which speaks volumes about her electability.

"What are we talking about?" Portnoy asked, visibly frustrated. "This is the candidate that people say is such a great leader? Kamala Harris can’t even answer the easiest questions during interviews, and she never gives a straight answer. It’s scary to think about her on the international stage."

Portnoy highlighted Harris’ inability to handle even basic media questions, accusing her of rambling incoherently when asked about policy issues. "She doesn’t seem to be able to put coherent thoughts together," he said. "It’s honestly scary for me to think about what she’d be like handling international crises."

Portnoy also pointed out that Harris’ 2020 presidential bid collapsed before it even started, with her dropping out of the race before the primaries. "There’s a reason the Democrats waited until after Biden got the nomination before picking her. She wouldn’t have won it on her own," he said. In contrast, Portnoy noted, Donald Trump has "won the nomination of his party three times fair and square."

In his closing remarks, Portnoy called on the media and Harris supporters to stop gaslighting Americans into thinking Harris is a viable candidate. "If you still want to vote for her because you hate Trump, go ahead. But stop telling us she’s a great leader when she couldn’t even get one vote in the primaries," he said.

With the 2024 election heating up, Portnoy’s takedown of Harris is a reflection of the growing dissatisfaction many Americans feel with the current administration and Harris’ role in it. As Portnoy put it, "If you have any issues with the last four years, that’s her."
