Orthodox Jewish Councils Unite to Endorse Jack Ciattarelli for New Jersey Governor

In an unprecedented political move, Orthodox Jewish councils across Ocean County, New Jersey have unanimously endorsed Republican Jack Ciattarelli for governor, forming what could be one of the most influential voting blocs in this year’s high-stakes election.

The endorsement, jointly announced by leaders representing Lakewood, Jackson, Toms River, Howell, and Manchester, marks the first time that Orthodox leadership in these towns has come together in a unified political statement emphasizing that this election isn’t just about local priorities, but the future of the entire state.

“This election will be decided by turnout. Let’s make sure our communities are heard loud and clear at the ballot box,” organizers said in a joint statement.

The backbone of this endorsement effort is the Lakewood Vaad, a well-established community council that worked in close coordination with its counterparts in surrounding municipalities. Their message is clear: unity, collaboration, and shared values are more important now than ever.

“Our voice is only as strong as the number of people who actually vote,” the letter reads. “TOGETHER WITH OUR FRIENDS IN NEIGHBORING TOWNS, JACK CIATTARELLI FOR GOVERNOR.”

The letter also listed additional local and state candidates aligned with the community’s priorities including education funding, transportation infrastructure, and the protection of religious freedoms, which have been under threat in recent years.

As Ciattarelli aims to flip New Jersey from blue to red, he now does so with the backing of a highly mobilized, values-driven voter base. His opponent, Democrat Mikie Sherrill, has failed to generate similar enthusiasm in these critical communities.

The Vaad’s statement also expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump for his bold support of Israel and his unwavering stance against antisemitism further signaling where the community sees alignment on the national stage.
