DHS Secretary Noem Rips Democrat for Defending Deported MS-13 Gang Member

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t hold back during a fiery exchange on Capitol Hill Wednesday, tearing into Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) for his relentless advocacy on behalf of a deported illegal alien with known MS-13 ties a man the Trump administration recently designated as part of a foreign terrorist organization.

“It’s got to be extremely discouraging to be one of your constituents,” Noem told Goldman. “To see you fight for a terrorist like this and not fight for them is extremely alarming to me, and I’m sure it is to them as well.”

The illegal alien at the center of the controversy is Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old Salvadoran national with suspected links to MS-13 and a record of human smuggling activity. He was deported by DHS only for Democrats to demand his return to the U.S., citing a Supreme Court order that Goldman claims compels the government to “facilitate” his reentry despite his illegal status.

Goldman pressed Noem about the department’s refusal to bring Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador. She reminded the committee that the individual in question “is in his home country” and had already been given more process than most Americans would expect for a foreign national with ties to a violent cartel.

“This isn’t about due process it’s about Democrats defending the indefensible,” one GOP aide said after the hearing.

The situation spiraled further when it was revealed that Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) actually flew to El Salvador to personally visit Abrego Garcia raising the question of who exactly Democrats are working for.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) eviscerated Goldman’s defense of the suspected gang member. When Goldman tried to block Attorney General Pam Bondi’s post linking Abrego Garcia to MS-13 from being added to the Congressional Record, Greene hit back with a bulletproof list of confirmations:

• A Maryland County Police Gang Unit confirmed Abrego Garcia’s MS-13 affiliation

• A reliable confidential informant confirmed it

• ICE officers confirmed it

• An immigration judge confirmed it

• A federal appellate board upheld it

“There is nothing Democrats love more than defending the cartels, the criminals, and the rapists,” Greene said bluntly.

And she’s not wrong. While American families suffer under rising crime and border chaos, Democrats like Goldman are spending their time lobbying for terrorists to be let back into the country terrorists who allegedly bragged about being able to murder their own wives without consequence.

Let that sink in.

This isn’t a debate over immigration policy. This is a battle over the soul of the country. One side believes in defending Americans from criminal infiltration. The other side is using the courts and Congress to protect foreign thugs with blood on their hands.

Secretary Noem said it best: “You don’t fight for your constituents. You fight for a terrorist.”

And with President Trump back in charge, that kind of lawless insanity won’t go unchecked. The days of giving violent gang members a red carpet back into our country are coming to an end.
