DHS Chief Noem Says Democrat Lawmakers Committed Felonies at ICE Facility
Calls grow for censure after congressional Democrats storm detention center to shield violent criminal aliens.

In a stunning escalation of lawlessness from within the very halls of Congress, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem accused three Democrat lawmakers of committing felonies during a volatile confrontation at a Newark ICE detention facility last week.
Appearing on Jesse Watters Prime, Noem didn’t hold back in condemning Reps. Rob Menendez Jr., Bonnie Watson Coleman, and LaMonica McIver all New Jersey Democrats for storming the gates of ICE’s Delaney Hall facility, allegedly in an attempt to free dangerous illegal aliens under the guise of a so-called “oversight visit.”
“This wasn’t oversight. This was committing felonies. This was going out and attacking people who stand up for the rule of law,” Noem said. “And it was absolutely horrible.”
This wasn’t a bureaucratic mix-up. This was Democrat officials breaching a federal detention facility and putting the lives of officers and detainees at risk. According to DHS, the lawmakers and their protester entourage rushed past security after a gate opened for an incoming ICE transport bus.
Let’s call this what it is: mob politics from elected officials who are more interested in appeasing the radical open-border crowd than defending the rule of law.
Noem made clear what’s at stake:
The detainees at the facility include rapists, murderers, and individuals linked to foreign terrorist organizations.
This reckless behavior endangered ICE officers and lawful operations meant to keep Americans safe.
Democrat lawmakers are now claiming they were “assaulted” flipping the script after causing the chaos themselves.
Noem drew a sharp line between law and lunacy.
“What are they trying to do? Release these people back into the country so that there could be more Laken Rileys? More Jocelyn Nungarays?” she asked, invoking the names of young women brutally murdered by illegal immigrants.
She’s not alone in her outrage. DHS issued a statement warning that members of Congress are not above the law and that had the trio followed proper procedure, a tour could have been arranged. Instead, they charged the gates.
McIver, astonishingly, sits on the very committee tasked with oversight of ICE, and Noem is now calling for her and her colleagues to be censured and stripped of committee assignments.
“They don’t deserve to be in the House,” Noem said. “They should be censured by it.”
Democrats, predictably, are crying foul. Coleman accused ICE of being “out of control,” while McIver bizarrely claimed the three lawmakers were assaulted by officers. But if that’s the case, why did they storm the facility with a mob of protesters in the first place?
Their actions weren’t about accountability. They were about undermining immigration enforcement and protecting the lawbreakers who make our cities and towns less safe. It’s the same radical playbook we’ve seen time and again delegitimize law enforcement, cry victim, and shield the criminal class.
This is what happens when Democrats are more loyal to open borders than to American citizens. And it’s exactly why President Trump’s return is crucial to restore order, dignity, and security to a system unraveling under leftist extremism.
