ICE ‘Manufactured Evidence,’ Says New Jersey Democrat in Body-Cam Dispute

When Democrats break the law, the script is always the same deny, distract, and play the victim. That’s exactly what Rep. Bonnie Watson-Coleman (D-NJ) is doing after she and other left-wing politicians forced their way into a federal immigration detention facility and now she's accusing ICE of manufacturing body cam footage to cover it up.

Watson-Coleman appeared on CNN to explain away her role in the incident at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey, where she, alongside Democrat Reps. Rob Menendez and LaMonica McIver and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, attempted what they called an “oversight tour.” What they actually did was wait for a transport vehicle to open the gates then rushed inside the facility uninvited, breaching federal security protocol.

Their justification? That they were entitled to see what was going on inside the ICE-run detention center a facility specifically designated for criminal illegal aliens, not political photo ops.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, these lawmakers made no formal request for a visit. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin laid it out plainly:

“Members of Congress are not above the law and cannot illegally break into detention facilities. Had these members requested a tour, we would have facilitated a tour of the facility.”

But Watson-Coleman isn't backing down she’s doubling down. Faced with ICE releasing body cam footage that reportedly shows the Democrat delegation getting physical with federal agents, Watson-Coleman claimed the video was fake, saying ICE “manufactured” it. That’s right when caught on camera, she blamed Trump and claimed the footage must have been fabricated because “Trump gave his people permission to lie.”

Here’s what really happened:

• Mayor Ras Baraka was placed under arrest only after trying to exit the facility without authorization, according to acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba. ICE agents didn’t initiate force they responded to it.

• Watson-Coleman and Menendez physically interfered with federal officers by attempting to shield Baraka from arrest.

• Watson-Coleman admitted she didn't know if anyone “hit back” at the agents which sounds a lot like a convenient way to cover up an altercation.

Let’s be honest this wasn’t an oversight visit it was a staged protest designed to undermine federal law enforcement and score political points on the backs of dangerous open-border policies. And when the stunt backfired, Democrats did what they do best: blame Trump, lie about the facts, and cry foul.

Now that ICE is preparing to release the footage, we’ll all see who’s really lying. Spoiler alert: it’s not the men and women risking their lives to enforce our immigration laws.
