Newsom Team Implodes After Nicki Minaj Rips Governor’s Trans Agenda

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office just declared war on Nicki Minaj.

After the global rap icon slammed Newsom for his bizarre comments about wanting to “see trans kids” and pushing radical pro-trans legislation, the governor’s director of communications, Izzy Gardon, responded by posting an image of Minaj’s face in a trash can with the words “Stupid Hoe” a direct reference to one of her older songs.

What followed was a meltdown from the Newsom team that only amplified the backlash against California’s most out-of-touch governor.

It started with Minaj’s post on Friday, where she tore into Newsom for centering his campaign messaging around transgender children, rather than focusing on the basic well-being of all kids.

“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that,” Minaj wrote.
“Normal adults wake up & think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids. Not Gav. The Gav Nots. GavOUT.”

She didn’t stop there. In classic Minaj fashion, she added “Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse from here for you, buddy… Enjoy life. Peace.”

Enter Izzy Gardon, Newsom’s taxpayer-funded spin doctor, who decided the best response was to hurl insults at a Black woman with one of the largest followings on the planet.

Gardon posted a t-shirt design with Minaj’s image in a trash bin captioned: “Stupid Hoe.”

Critics immediately blasted the Newsom official for sexism, racism, and outright unprofessional behavior. But instead of apologizing, Gardon doubled down, bizarrely claiming the slur was a reference to Minaj’s own music and even mocking California GOP Rep. Carl DeMaio for calling out the insult.

“Any certified homosexual would know Stupid Hoe is Nicki Minaj’s best song,” Gardon quipped on X. “We may need to take your gay card away, Carl.”

So much for the tolerant Left.

Minaj didn’t respond directly to Gardon but continued blasting Newsom’s entire administration for spending its time attacking a female rapper rather than fixing the state’s crumbling reality.

“Career politician at the brink of his moment realigns to become nothing more than a Nicki Minaj ANTI,” she wrote.
“So now he’s the guy running on ‘wanting to see trans kids’ AND willing to lower himself to becoming just another FEMALE RAPPER to get obliterated by NICKI MINAJ.”

This isn’t about celebrity drama it’s about a career politician using the full weight of his office to silence dissent, while his staff casually insults Black female critics with no fear of accountability.

All while California deals with:

• The highest poverty rate in the country

• Mass homelessness, including among women and children

• Failing public schools and out-of-control crime

• Laws enabling secret transgender transitions for minors behind parents’ backs

Yet Newsom’s administration thinks Nicki Minaj is the problem?

The truth is, Minaj struck a nerve and Newsom’s team panicked. She dared to say what millions are thinking: this isn’t about compassion or tolerance. It’s about pushing a radical agenda on children while ignoring the real needs of families.

And now, they’re attacking her character instead of her argument.
