White House Reopens to Visitors Under Melania Trump’s Initiative
First Lady Restores Tradition Biden Shut Down.

Melania Trump has announced the reopening of the White House for public tours, restoring access to “the people’s house” after years of unnecessary closures under the Biden administration. Beginning Tuesday, February 25, 2025, visitors will once again be able to experience the history and grandeur of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue firsthand.
“The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark,” Melania said in a statement. “There is much to learn about the American Presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our Nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House.”
During Joe Biden’s presidency, White House access was heavily restricted, cutting off Americans from a historic tradition that has long allowed citizens to engage with their country’s history. Now, Melania Trump is bringing that tradition back.
Tours will be self-guided and available Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Friday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Visitors can explore the East Wing, the State Dining Room, the Vermeil Room, the Library, the China Room, and more.
Secret Service officers will be stationed along the tour route to answer questions about the White House’s history, art, and furnishings.
Unlike the elitist, closed-door approach of the previous administration, the Trumps understand that the White House belongs to the American people.
In addition to reopening the White House, Melania recently graced the cover of Hello! magazine, marking her first cover story in 16 years. The feature, titled Melania Trump 2.0, provided an inside look at her return as First Lady, showcasing her grace, strength, and commitment to restoring the dignity of the role.
As the Trumps continue to reintroduce tradition and patriotism to Washington, Americans once again have access to their history a stark contrast to the secrecy and dysfunction of the past four years.
