Melania Trump Reveals Plans for Second Term as First Lady

Balancing motherhood, White House duties, and life in Palm Beach.

As Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House, First Lady-elect Melania Trump is making it clear where she will be spending her time and her top priority remains being a mother first.

In an interview with Fox & Friends, Melania confirmed she will split her time between Washington, D.C., New York, and Palm Beach, with the White House as her primary residence. However, she emphasized that raising Barron Trump remains her most important role, even as she steps back into the position of First Lady.

“I will be in the White House, and when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach,” she said.

Melania’s commitment to her son, Barron, remains unwavering. Now enrolled at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Barron will visit the White House but continue to spend much of his time in New York.

“I feel that children, we have them ’til they are like 18, 19 years old,” she explained. “We teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly.”

Melania also acknowledged that her transition back to the White House will be much smoother this time compared to 2017.

“The difference is I know where I will be going. I know the rooms, where we will be living, I know the process,” she said. “I already packed, I already selected the furniture that needs to go in.”

Reflecting on her first time as First Lady, Melania admitted that she didn’t feel accepted or supported by many. The hostility from Democrats, the media, and Washington elites made her tenure more difficult than it should have been.

Now, she is optimistic about a different experience in her husband’s second term.

“I didn’t feel that people accepted, understood, or supported me last time,” she said. “But this time, I look forward to things being different.”

With Trump set to reclaim the presidency, Melania is ready to step back into the White House with confidence and experience this time, on her own terms.
