Congresswoman Waters Sparks Controversy in Face-Off With ICE Agents

When federal agents were under siege in Los Angeles ambushed by violent left-wing protesters Rep. Maxine Waters didn’t show up to support law enforcement. She showed up to taunt them.

In a scene straight out of political theater, the California congresswoman took to the streets this weekend and launched a tirade at National Guard troops and ICE officers, questioning whether they would shoot “a kid” or “an elected official” as they attempted to restore order. This wasn’t just inflammatory it was reckless.

Captured on video, Waters barked at the troops stationed outside the Los Angeles Federal Building:

“Why do you have guns? What are you going to do, you going to shoot some kid who’s afraid of you and runs? You going to shoot an elected official? If you shoot me, you better shoot straight.”

This is what passes for leadership in the modern Democrat Party threatening federal officers while defending mobs that had just spent two days throwing rocks at Border Patrol vehicles and injuring at least one agent.

• Waters attempted to gain access to the federal building, reportedly to “check on” SEIU boss David Huerta, who was arrested during the chaos.

• She was denied entry by federal security, despite citing her “congressional authority.”

• Later, she sanitized her behavior on X, painting herself as a peaceful advocate and warning against “heavily armed” troops conveniently leaving out her verbal assaults and attempt to storm a secured area.

It’s no secret that Maxine Waters has a long history of inciting confrontation. From encouraging harassment of Trump officials in public to now siding with rioters over law enforcement, her disdain for the rule of law has become a hallmark of her career. But this time, it’s especially dangerous because the stakes are national security.

The violence in Los Angeles wasn’t spontaneous. It was a direct reaction to lawful ICE operations targeting illegal aliens with final deportation orders and serious criminal records. This wasn’t random profiling these were court-ordered removals, some involving convicted criminals. And yet, Democratic leaders like Waters chose to stand with the lawbreakers.

More disturbing is the fact that Waters framed the National Guard presence as an “outrageous attempt” by Trump to target sanctuary cities. But if protecting federal agents under assault from violent mobs is outrageous, what exactly does she consider acceptable?

Let’s be clear: no member of Congress has the right to interfere with ongoing law enforcement operations, nor to demand access to secure federal facilities during a riot. But the Left continues to blur the lines between protest and insurrection all while claiming moral superiority.

As the chaos continues in Los Angeles, Americans are watching. And they’re waking up to the reality that Democrats like Maxine Waters don’t want order they want control, even if it means siding with rioters over agents risking their lives.
