Maryland Man Charged After Alleged Attempt To Kill Trump Budget Chief

A chilling plot to assassinate a top Trump administration official has come to light, and once again, it's the radical Left that’s behind it. According to prosecutors, 26-year-old Colin Demarco of Maryland attempted to murder Russell Vought, former Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Donald Trump.

Authorities say Demarco targeted Vought because he believed the Trump administration was staging a "fascist takeover" of the United States. Yes, the same tired, delusional narrative pushed by corporate media and far-left academics just inspired a near-deadly attempt on a public servant’s life.

• Demarco reportedly drafted a manifesto and a "Body Disposal Guide"—clear indicators of premeditated violence.

• He scoped out Vought’s Virginia home as early as August 2023, with security footage capturing him at the scene.

• Charges include attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and unlawfully wearing a mask classic hallmarks of Antifa-style extremism.

This wasn’t just a random act of violence. It was a politically motivated assassination attempt targeting a man instrumental in one of President Trump’s most important policy initiatives: Schedule F, which was designed to gut the bloated federal bureaucracy and hold unelected bureaucrats accountable.

Russell Vought’s work helped lay the foundation for a leaner, more accountable federal government. That’s precisely why the Left views him as a threat. He’s been flooded with death threats and is now under U.S. Marshals protection something that shouldn’t be necessary in a sane country.

And this isn’t happening in a vacuum:

• President Trump has already survived two assassination attempts in 2024, including one in Pennsylvania that left a supporter, a former fire chief, dead.

• In September, Charlie Kirk was murdered on a college campus in Utah bullet casings were inscribed with anti-fascist slogans.

• Just last month, a man assaulted Rep. Ilhan Omar during a town hall meeting, continuing a disturbing pattern of political violence.

But don’t expect outrage from the mainstream media. Their coverage will downplay this as a one-off incident or focus solely on the mental health of the assailant ignoring the dangerous ideological fuel that’s lighting these fires.

Instead of cracking down on the true threats far-left extremists, violent ideologues, and anarchists the Biden administration continues to obsess over “right-wing extremism,” even labeling concerned parents and veterans as domestic threats. Meanwhile, their own supporters are out here attempting political assassinations.

This is the direct consequence of unchecked rhetoric from the media, academia, and Democratic leadership. When you constantly frame your political opponents as fascists or threats to democracy, don’t be surprised when unstable minds take that as a call to arms.

The only thing that stopped this attack from succeeding was vigilant law enforcement and the grace of God. But we’re quickly approaching a tipping point, and if America doesn’t course-correct, we’ll see more of this.
