Alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO Killer Requests Laptop Privileges Ahead of Terrorism Trial
As leftists rally behind accused assassin Luigi Mangione, prosecutors reveal chilling details of premeditated corporate-targeted murder.

In a case that’s rapidly becoming a disturbing reflection of America’s cultural divide, Luigi Mangione, the man accused of assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is now requesting special laptop privileges to help prepare his defense against terrorism and federal murder charges.
Mangione, 26, stands accused of stalking and fatally shooting Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel in December. The victim was not only the CEO of one of the largest health insurance companies in America he was also a father of two high schoolers, ripped from his family in a calculated ambush.
Now, as Mangione faces a rare New York State charge of murder as an act of terrorism alongside federal charges that could carry the death penalty he wants access to a laptop in his jail cell. According to court filings, the computer would be stripped of internet and entertainment access but would allow Mangione to review 15,000+ pages of documents and thousands of hours of video evidence provided by prosecutors.
But here’s where the story takes a truly chilling turn: many on the far Left are celebrating Mangione.
Yes, celebrating.
The same progressive activists who cry foul over “political violence” when it suits them are now flooding courtrooms and launching fundraising drives for a man accused of cold-blooded, premeditated murder because his target happened to be a healthcare executive.
The #FreeLuigi movement has gone viral in progressive circles.
Left-wing influencers are portraying Mangione as a “vigilante” hero.
Crowdfunding efforts, despite being repeatedly taken down, have raised over $700,000 for his legal defense.
Court appearances have been packed with cheering supporters an unsettling scene for a case involving what prosecutors call a carefully plotted political assassination.
Prosecutors have revealed devastating evidence against Mangione:
His internet search history allegedly shows months of surveillance, research into UnitedHealthcare’s structure, and detailed plans for the hit.
Bullets recovered from the scene were reportedly engraved with anti-corporate slogans.
Authorities found what they described as manifestos on Mangione’s devices, expressing rage against the healthcare system and corporations more broadly.
Former Attorney General Merrick Garland stated bluntly “Mangione planned his attack for months and stalked his victim for days before murdering him methodically planning when, where, and how to carry out his crime.”
Yet despite all this, the activist Left has embraced him as a symbol. Why? Because in their worldview, corporate success is a crime, capitalism is the enemy, and violence is excusable if it targets the 'right' people.
This case isn’t just about one man’s actions it’s a snapshot of where the radical Left is dragging our culture: a place where mob-backed political violence is glorified, and the lives of innocent Americans are treated as collateral damage in their ideological crusade.
Luigi Mangione has pleaded not guilty. But one thing is certain this trial will be about far more than murder. It will be a referendum on a cultural movement that celebrates destruction, so long as it fits their agenda.
