Karoline Leavitt Blasts Jen Psaki for Mocking Prayer After School Shooting
White House Press Secretary defends faith and families while Democrats politicize tragedy.

As the nation mourns the horrific loss of two children gunned down at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Democrats like Jen Psaki wasted no time mocking the one thing millions of Americans instinctively turn to in moments of pain prayer.
But on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made it clear that such disdain for faith would not go unanswered.
Responding directly to Psaki’s viral post attacking people offering prayers after the tragedy, Leavitt called her out in front of the entire White House press corps. “It’s incredibly insensitive and disrespectful to the tens of millions of Americans of faith across this country who believe in the power of prayer... when beautiful young children were killed while praying in a church, it’s utterly disrespectful to deride the power of prayer in this country.”
She didn’t stop there. Leavitt called on Psaki to “pray for these families themselves,” reminding reporters that faith, not politics, is what countless Americans rely on in the face of tragedy.
Psaki’s original post? Predictably venomous. “Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers do not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe... Enough with the thoughts and prayers.”
That’s the new Leftist mantra: Mock faith, push politics, repeat.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, another Democrat, echoed the sentiment Wednesday, saying, “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers... these kids were literally praying.” In other words: Faith failed, government must save you.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth Psaki and Frey won’t acknowledge: those kids were in a church because they believed in something greater than politics, and that belief far from being meaningless is precisely what gives millions of Americans the strength to carry on when evil strikes.
What’s really disrespectful is not prayer. It’s exploiting tragedy to score political points while the bodies are still warm.
This is the modern Democratic Party:
Mock millions of Americans of faith for turning to prayer.
Politicize dead children before the investigation is complete.
Use tragedy to push the same failed talking points on gun control and identity politics.
Karoline Leavitt is right. In moments of tragedy, we don’t need political lectures. We need grace, truth, and a nation that still believes good will overcome evil.
