Noem to Visit El Salvador Facility Holding Hundreds of Deported Criminals, Delivering ‘Clear Message’
Trump administration delivers clear warning as Noem tours Central America to strengthen crackdown on criminal aliens.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem is sending a powerful message to criminal aliens and their enablers next week with a high-stakes visit to Central America, where she will tour the infamous Terrorism Confinement Center in El Salvador the same prison that recently took in hundreds of violent illegal alien criminals deported from the U.S.
This bold move underscores the Trump administration’s renewed commitment to restoring law and order after years of chaos under Biden’s weak, open-border policies. On Sunday, DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin summed it up perfectly “President Trump and Secretary Noem have a clear message for criminal aliens considering entering America illegally: don’t even think about it. If you come to our country and break our laws, we will hunt you down, and lock you up.”
Noem’s visit will begin March 26 with a tour of the Salvadoran facility alongside Minister of Justice Héctor Gustavo Villatoro. She will also meet with President Nayib Bukele, a key Trump ally who has led one of the most aggressive anti-gang crackdowns in the world.
Key facts:
261 illegal aliens were deported to El Salvador on March 15, including 21 dangerous MS-13 gang members, two of whom were senior ringleaders.
Deportations were carried out under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 and Title 8, leveraging the law to remove violent criminals swiftly and decisively.
Crimes committed by those deported included aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery, sexual abuse of a child, prostitution, and assault of police officers.
Footage released by El Salvador last week showed heavily armed authorities rounding up deported gang members and locking them in high-security cells an unmistakable deterrent to anyone thinking about entering the U.S. illegally.
Following her El Salvador stop, Noem will visit Colombia and Mexico to meet with leaders focused on dismantling organized crime networks fueling the chaos at America’s southern border. It’s a clear pivot back to policies that prioritize American safety and sovereignty.
President Trump praised Bukele’s cooperation, blasting Biden’s negligence “These are the monsters sent into our Country by Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats,” Trump wrote. “How dare they!”
Bukele echoed that sentiment, emphasizing how the partnership not only strengthens El Salvador’s fight against MS-13 but also helps the U.S. root out violent criminals smuggled in under Biden’s disastrous border policies.
With Noem’s visit, the Trump administration is once again putting America first proving that under strong leadership, criminals will no longer be coddled but dealt with swiftly and decisively.
