King Abdullah Opposes Displacement of Palestinians from Gaza

Trump Pushes Regional Leaders To Step Up Amid Gaza Ceasefire.

King Abdullah II of Jordan has made it clear that he opposes the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, releasing a statement after his meeting with President Donald Trump on Tuesday. While offering humanitarian aid, Abdullah insisted that the “unified Arab position” is to keep Palestinians in Gaza rather than relocating them elsewhere.

“I reaffirmed Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank (Judea and Samaria),” Abdullah said. “Everyone’s priority should be the reconstruction of Gaza without displacing its people and addressing the difficult humanitarian situation in the Strip.”

The meeting comes as Trump continues to press Jordan, Egypt, and other regional powers to take a more active role in stabilizing Gaza. Unlike the weak leadership of the past administration, Trump is making it clear that the U.S. expects Middle Eastern nations to be part of the solution, rather than standing on the sidelines.

During their discussions, the two leaders addressed:

  • Trump’s proposal for Gaza’s future and the role of neighboring countries in ensuring stability.

  • The ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Jordan’s insistence on a two-state solution.

  • Regional security concerns, including the threat of ISIS and al-Qaeda.

  • Economic cooperation between Jordan and the United States.

King Abdullah’s visit to the White House marked the first official meeting between the two leaders since Hamas and Israel agreed to a ceasefire. As he arrived at the White House, Trump warmly welcomed him, calling him a “great man” and reaffirming America’s commitment to brokering lasting peace in the region.

Abdullah praised Trump’s leadership, stating, “Mr. President, I truly believe with all of the challenges that we have in the Middle East, I finally see somebody that can take us across the finish line.” His remarks stand in stark contrast to the diplomatic failures of the Biden administration, which failed to secure long-term stability and left the region in chaos.

As Trump continues to push for practical solutions and holds Middle Eastern leaders accountable, the path forward is becoming clearer: regional powers must take responsibility, and American leadership must be strong, decisive, and focused on results.
