Kamala Harris Dodges Questions on Migrant Flight Program

As the border crisis worsens, Harris refuses to address controversial policies.

Kamala Harris’ campaign has refused to answer a critical question on the continuation of a controversial migrant flight program if she wins the presidency in 2024. When pressed by Fox News’ Bill Melugin, Harris’ team skirted the issue, opting instead to tout her record as a tough-on-crime prosecutor, all while the Biden-Harris administration’s border policies remain under fire for their failure to stop illegal immigration.

Harris' campaign has sidestepped inquiries on whether she supports the migrant parole program, which has allowed over 530,000 migrants to fly directly into the U.S. interior. These individuals are granted two-year paroles to live and work, bypassing traditional immigration processes. This program has operated amid a historic surge in illegal immigration under the Biden administration, with more than 10 million people crossing the border since 2021. Out of this staggering figure, 1.7 million illegal immigrant "gotaways" have evaded capture, underscoring the border crisis that the Vice President continues to downplay.

In response to the question about her stance, Harris’ spokeswoman highlighted her previous work as California’s Attorney General, noting her efforts to combat international crime syndicates. “As a prosecutor for 20 years, Vice President Harris has spent her career putting criminals behind bars and upholding the rule of law,” the statement read. However, this carefully crafted message avoided addressing the Biden administration’s responsibility for the ongoing chaos at the southern border, nor did it clarify her position on the migrant flight program.

Key Facts the Harris Campaign Refuses to Address:

  • Over 530,000 migrants have been flown into the United States under the parole program since its inception.

  • The program allows inadmissible migrants to bypass border enforcement and live in the U.S. under a two-year parole.

  • Despite Harris' role as “border czar,” tasked with addressing the immigration crisis, illegal border crossings have soared to unprecedented levels.

Harris’ attempt to position herself as tough on border security is further complicated by her campaign’s rhetoric. The campaign supports border legislation that would end the use of the Customs and Border Patrol One app, which allows migrants to schedule asylum interviews remotely. Yet, there is no mention of halting the migrant flight program or reversing the policies that have exacerbated the crisis.

This is not the first time Harris has tried to sanitize her border record. In fact, her campaign has released ads featuring an aerial shot of President Trump’s border wall in an apparent effort to appeal to moderate voters. However, the facts remain clear: the Biden-Harris administration's weak border policies have directly contributed to the surge in illegal crossings, and Harris has been noticeably absent when it comes to offering real solutions.

As voters head toward the 2024 election, it's time for Harris to stop dodging the hard questions about her role in the current border crisis. With millions of illegal immigrants flooding into the country and the administration enabling programs that undermine our national security, Americans deserve answers—not more empty campaign promises.
