Harris Compares 2024 Election Loss to the Pain of Losing Her Mother

In a tone-deaf interview, Harris claims her loss to Trump was as painful as losing her mother and still doesn’t get why America rejected her.

Kamala Harris just compared her 2024 election defeat to one of the most devastating events in her life the death of her mother proving once again how wildly disconnected she is from the American people.

During a recent appearance on ABC’s The View, the former Vice President opened up about the stunning collapse of her presidential campaign following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race. In a desperate attempt to promote her upcoming memoir, 107 Days, Harris described election night as a traumatic moment she hasn’t emotionally recovered from.

“That night, I grieved in a way that I have not since my mother died,” Harris told the cohosts, fighting back emotion. “It was not at all about losing a race... I knew what it was going to mean for the country.”

Spare us.

Harris didn’t just lose an election she lost in historic fashion. Despite a billion-dollar war chest and the full weight of the Democratic Party behind her, she couldn’t even come close to stopping Donald Trump’s commanding return to the White House.

Let’s be clear:

  • Kamala Harris presided over the most abrupt campaign collapse in modern political history.

  • Her approval rating hit rock-bottom, with just 28% of Americans viewing her favorably in the final stretch.

  • Even Democratic voters were fleeing, as post-election analysis showed she underperformed Biden in key blue strongholds.

And yet, instead of reflecting on her failed leadership, her condescending tone, or her inability to connect with voters beyond Beltway elites, Harris chose to center her feelings and liken her political embarrassment to personal tragedy. It’s not just tone-deaf it’s narcissistic.

What Harris fails to grasp is that America didn’t reject her because of misinformation, sexism, or some national trauma. Voters rejected her because they lived through nearly four years of a dysfunctional administration that left the country weaker, poorer, and more divided.

Under the Biden-Harris administration:

  • Inflation soared to 40-year highs, crushing middle-class families.

  • The border became a national disaster, with over 7 million illegal crossings since 2021.

  • America’s standing abroad collapsed, culminating in the humiliating Afghanistan withdrawal.

So no, Kamala, it wasn’t about how you “felt” that night. It was about how Americans felt living under your leadership. And on election night, they finally got their say.

As for the theatrics of her memoir and media tour? America’s already moved on and judging by the results, it won’t be looking back.
