Judge Demands Trump Admin Reveal Details on Deportations of Violent Gang Members

A federal judge is once again attempting to throw a wrench into President Trump’s efforts to secure America’s borders and deport violent criminals. On Monday, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg demanded that the Trump administration provide a sworn declaration detailing its deportation flights of suspected gang members to El Salvador despite serious national security concerns.

Judge Boasberg, a liberal judge known for undermining Trump-era policies, is challenging the Justice Department over the weekend deportation of roughly 250 illegal immigrants believed to be tied to dangerous gangs, including Tren de Aragua, one of the most violent transnational crime organizations.

The judge ordered the DOJ to submit a sworn declaration by noon Tuesday, after the administration did not comply with his Saturday comments to halt the flights. But the Trump administration made it clear: the flights were already over international waters and beyond the judge’s authority.

Border Czar Tom Homan explained bluntly “It wasn’t until this flight was already in international waters heading down to El Salvador that the judge made some comment about returning the flights. We’re already in international waters. We’re outside the borders of the United States.”

At the hearing, the DOJ pushed back hard, asserting that the judge was overreaching by demanding answers to sensitive operational and national security matters. Judge Boasberg, unfazed, insisted they provide classified-level justifications if necessary, signaling a willingness to interfere with executive decisions designed to protect American lives.

The Trump administration didn’t back down. The DOJ filed an appeal, asking for Boasberg to be removed from the case entirely, pointing out “The Government cannot and will not be forced to answer sensitive questions of national security and foreign relations in a rushed posture… Answering them… presents grave risks to the conduct of the Government in areas wholly unsuited to micromanagement supervision by a district court judge.”

This is yet another example of activist judges stepping far beyond their constitutional role to obstruct strong leadership. While President Trump is focused on removing violent criminals and restoring law and order, leftist judges like Boasberg continue to prioritize legal technicalities over the safety of American citizens.

Make no mistake this fight isn’t about paperwork. It’s about whether America will have the strength to enforce its laws and defend its borders without interference from unaccountable bureaucrats in black robes.
