Jeremy Boreing Calls ‘Am I Racist?’ a Game-Changer for Conservative Filmmaking
Daily Wire’s latest film takes a bold comedic approach to exposing woke culture.
Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing is hailing the upcoming film “Am I Racist?” as a groundbreaking moment in conservative filmmaking. The film, starring Daily Wire host Matt Walsh, takes on the woke culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) with a unique blend of satire and undercover journalism. Boreing discussed the significance of the film during a recent episode of Backstage, filmed at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
“Am I Racist?” follows Walsh as he infiltrates the DEI movement, even securing a sitdown interview with controversial author Robin DiAngelo. The movie is a follow-up to Walsh’s hit documentary “What Is A Woman?”, but Boreing emphasized that this latest project takes a different approach.
A New Direction for Conservative Films: Boreing described “Am I Racist?” as an evolution in conservative media, moving beyond traditional documentaries. “It’s really something we haven’t seen before from the right,” Boreing explained. “It is a genuine comedy in which you allow these people to be the butt of the joke in a way that we’ve historically only seen from Sacha Baron Cohen, or even Jon Stewart in sort of the heyday of the Daily Show.”
Risk and Reward: Boreing highlighted the film's innovative approach as a significant risk, but one that pays off by allowing the subjects of the film to mock themselves. This self-deprecating humor, combined with sharp political commentary, makes “Am I Racist?” a unique offering in the realm of conservative entertainment.
Call to Action: With the film set to open in theaters on September 13, Walsh urged fans to preorder tickets to ensure the film's success. “Preordering tickets is so important,” Walsh said, stressing that early ticket sales will determine how widely the film is distributed. He reassured potential viewers that “Am I Racist?” promises to be not just a political statement, but a genuinely entertaining experience.
The Daily Wire’s push into comedy with “Am I Racist?” marks a significant moment for conservative media, as the film seeks to challenge the cultural narrative through humor—a tool often monopolized by the left. With Boreing calling it a “truly special film,” the movie could represent a turning point in how conservatives engage with and critique the prevailing cultural trends.
