Rep. Jasmine Crockett Melts Down Over Iran Strikes, Claims She Should Make the Call

Democrat lawmaker rants about constitutional authority, then loses key Oversight role.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) had a meltdown of epic proportions this week, declaring in a profanity-laced rant that she was the one “supposed to make the f***in decision” about whether President Trump could strike Iranian nuclear sites. Yes, really.

The comments came as Crockett complained again that she wasn’t briefed ahead of Trump’s surgical strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. In a now-viral video clip, she took center stage, asserting that it was her job to approve military action, a claim that prompted laughter and applause from left-wing supporters but raised eyebrows across the aisle.

“Maybe if there was some consultation we could have saved the American people not only money, but the lives that are now at risk,” she said during a Tuesday hearing.

This kind of grandstanding has become par for the course for Crockett. But while she’s busy pretending to be commander-in-chief, Americans might want to consider the facts:

  • The President of the United States has constitutional authority under Article II to act in the face of imminent threats something Trump did after Iran crossed every red line.

  • Crockett was never stripped of any rights she simply wasn’t looped in because the operation required urgency and precision, not bureaucracy.

  • Meanwhile, Trump did attempt to contact Democratic leaders, including Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, before launching the strikes.

Adding insult to injury, Crockett also withdrew her bid to become ranking member of the House Oversight Committee this week after failing to secure enough support from within her own party. The position went to California’s Robert Garcia instead a telling sign of just how much confidence Democrats have in her “leadership.”

Her tirade was less about constitutional principle and more about political posturing.

“The reason that people like me say things like, ‘y’all are in a cult,’” she added, “is because somehow people are abdicating their duties.”

Actually, Congresswoman, the real abdication is thinking foreign policy and national defense should be subject to grandstanding by a freshman legislator with no strategic experience. Americans are safer today because Trump acted swiftly and decisively before Iran could pose a greater threat.
