Jake Tapper Turns on Hunter Biden in Stunning Reversal

In a moment of staggering media whiplash, CNN anchor Jake Tapper finally admitted what conservatives have known for years Hunter Biden isn’t just a troubled son he’s a deeply unethical figure who had far too much influence inside the Biden White House.

During a recent interview with Katie Couric and Axios reporter Alex Thompson, Tapper unloaded on Hunter Biden, calling him “unethical, sleazy, and prone to horrible decisions.” The comment came during a discussion of Tapper and Thompson’s new book, Original Sin, which documents the stunning physical and cognitive decline of Joe Biden and the disturbing extent to which his inner circle tried to hide it from the public.

When Couric asked Tapper how big a factor Hunter Biden was in the collapse of the administration’s credibility, he didn’t hold back:

“Hunter was driving the decision-making for the family in a way that people… he was almost like a chief of staff of the family.”

Let that sink in. The son with a history of crack addiction, foreign business entanglements, and salacious scandals was shaping decisions at the highest level of American power and the corporate press ignored it for years.

Tapper went even further:

“He cheated on his wife with his brother’s widow and then got her addicted to crack. That’s just one thing I could say.”

But here’s the kicker Tapper is the same journalist who, in 2020, dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop story as “wildly unhinged” and “too disgusting” to report on. He parroted the Biden campaign’s narrative and helped bury a bombshell that should have changed the course of an election.

Now, with the damage already done and Biden’s presidency crumbling under its own weight, Tapper and other media figures are scrambling to rewrite their roles in the cover-up.

It’s worth asking:

• Where was this honesty before the 2020 election?

• Why did CNN and others smear the Hunter Biden laptop story as “Russian disinformation”?

• How many Americans were misled by a coordinated media blackout designed to protect Joe Biden’s campaign?

The New York Post was censored. Whistleblowers were dismissed. Dozens of ex-intelligence officials signed a letter labeling the laptop story “Russian disinformation” a lie that gave political cover to journalists like Tapper. Now he wants credit for finally saying what he should have said five years ago.

This isn't courage. It’s damage control.

And while Tapper’s sudden honesty may help him sell a few books, it doesn’t erase the fact that the corporate media actively helped suppress one of the most damning scandals in modern political history all to protect a flailing candidate with a sleazy, unqualified son too close to the Oval Office.

The American people deserved better in 2020. Now they’ll get the truth in 2025.
