Israelis Overwhelmingly Support Trump Compared to Kamala Harris, Poll Reveals
Trump’s Support for Israel Resounds Amid Biden Administration’s Weakness.
A recent poll conducted by an Israeli network with left-leaning views has revealed an overwhelming preference for former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, should they face off in the U.S. presidential race. The results were stark: 66% of Israelis supported Trump, while only 17% favored Harris.
This result is not surprising given Trump’s notable and impactful support for Israel, a legacy that Israelis remember well. Among his administration’s most memorable actions were:
Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem: Although Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1995, prior administrations continually delayed the move, citing national security waivers. Trump made history by officially moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem on May 14, 2018, coinciding with Israel’s 70th Independence Day a powerful affirmation of America’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Recognizing the Golan Heights: Trump also formally recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, an area crucial to Israel’s defense. For decades, this strategic region provided enemies with a vantage point to launch attacks on Israel. Trump’s move offered unprecedented security reassurance to Israelis.
As conflict re-emerged in the region, Trump reminded audiences in a recent speech that his administration’s approach was built on strength and unwavering support for Israel’s security. Reflecting on the October 7 attack by Hamas, Trump called it “the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust” and condemned the “weak leadership in the United States” that allowed it to happen. With 1,200 Israelis killed and thousands more wounded or kidnapped, Trump pointed to Biden’s failure to deter escalating threats from groups that openly seek Israel’s destruction.
Trump didn’t mince words in outlining what he believes is at stake under Democratic leadership. “If we continue down our current path, with four more years of Kamala, Israel will be faced not just with an attack, but with total annihilation,” he asserted. Without strong American leadership, Trump argued, Israel risks “unceasing, bloody war” as enemies look to drive Jews from their homeland.
Trump also highlighted a concern many in the Jewish community share: that any Jew who values Israel’s safety cannot align with a party whose leaders remain indecisive on standing up to terror groups like Hamas. "Anybody who’s Jewish and loves Israel is a fool if they vote for a Democrat," he declared, reinforcing his administration’s reputation as Israel’s steadfast ally.
The poll results show that for Israelis, words are not enough. What they remember are actions, and Trump’s actions left a lasting mark.
