Former Israeli PM Calls On Iranians To Rise Against Regime

Naftali Bennett urges Iranians to seize the moment and depose their oppressive Islamic rulers.

As Israel wages a fierce battle against Iran’s tyrannical leadership, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has delivered a powerful and direct message to the Iranian people: now is the time to rise up and reclaim your country from the despotic Islamic regime that has ruled through cruelty and oppression for decades.

In a video translated into Persian, Bennett spoke directly to ordinary Iranians, drawing a clear distinction between the innocent population and the radical leaders who have dragged their nation into war.

“Your time is now to rise up against your cruel dictators,” Bennett declared. “You have a horrible regime, and you’re a good nation. An old, disconnected, corrupt, and egotistical regime, a regime that is cruel and incompetent. This is the time to rise up. We’ve taken out the heads of the military, the heads of the IRGC.”

Emphasizing the historic opportunity facing the Iranian people, Bennett asked: “If not now, when? There won’t be a better time.”

The former Israeli prime minister underscored that Israel's war is not with the Iranian people but with the brutal Islamic regime and its nuclear ambitions. “We respect the Iranian people,” he stated. “If you act, Israel will stand with you. The world will stand with you.”

Standing in Bat Yam, one of the Israeli cities struck by Iranian missiles, Bennett highlighted the cost of the regime’s recklessness. “Here I am in Bat Yam, the city where roughly 50 to 70 buildings were hit,” he said, while making it clear that Israel is targeting military infrastructure and not civilians. “We don’t want to hit civilians; we respect you.”

Iran, once known as Persia, boasts one of the oldest and most storied civilizations in the world. Centuries ago, Persian emperor Cyrus the Great was celebrated for his tolerance and even revered in Jewish history for liberating the Jewish people from Babylonian captivity and allowing them to return to Israel to rebuild their sacred Temple.

But since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Iran has been ruled by a radical regime consumed by hatred for Israel and the West. Nowhere was this hatred more evident than in 2022, when Iran became the only country in the world to object to a United Nations resolution condemning Holocaust denial. Even The New York Times admitted, “Only Iran, Israel’s most ardent adversary, objected.”

This genocidal ideology was further exposed by former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar, who recounted a chilling conversation with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2000. “Khamenei told me that Israel must be burned to the ground and made to disappear from the face of the Earth,” Aznar recalled, adding that Khamenei had declared Iran’s war against the United States and Israel was “inevitable.”

That same radical vision now drives Iran’s relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missile capabilities, while sacrificing its own people in pursuit of jihadist ambitions. Bennett’s call comes at a pivotal moment, as Israeli strikes have decimated Iran’s military leadership and nuclear infrastructure, offering a rare opportunity for the Iranian people to finally topple the regime that has oppressed them for 45 years.

With growing unrest inside Iran, mounting casualties, and the regime’s power weakening, Bennett’s message rings clear: “Your time is now.”
