Israel Strikes Iran's Natanz Nuclear Facility In Direct Hit On Weaponization Program
Netanyahu warns Iran was weeks away from building nuclear bombs as Israeli forces target key sites.

Israeli forces struck one of Iran’s most critical nuclear sites Thursday night, targeting the Natanz Nuclear Facility long viewed as the centerpiece of Iran’s nuclear weaponization efforts. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the strike, warning that Tehran was dangerously close to achieving nuclear capability.
"Iran has produced enough highly enriched uranium for nine atom bombs," Netanyahu said. "And if not stopped, Iran could produce a nuclear weapon in a very short time."
The Natanz facility, along with the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, has been capable of producing enough weapons-grade uranium to build up to 11 nuclear bombs within a single month, according to security experts. While the full extent of the damage remains uncertain, Netanyahu made clear that the strikes directly targeted Iran's most advanced nuclear infrastructure and personnel.
Israel targeted Natanz’s main enrichment facility and leading nuclear scientists involved in bomb development.
Natanz was previously damaged in 2020 but has since been fortified with underground tunnels.
At least five additional military bases near Tehran were also struck in the operation.
Netanyahu emphasized the global danger posed by the regime’s ambitions. "We will not let the world's most dangerous regime get the world's most dangerous weapons," he said. "Iran plans to give those weapons to its terrorist proxies, making the nightmare of nuclear terrorism a terrifying reality."
The Parchin military complex, another suspected nuclear weapons research facility, was also reportedly hit during the strikes, though the extent of the new damage remains unclear. Parchin had already suffered significant damage from previous Israeli strikes in October.
This latest operation comes as Iran’s nuclear stockpile has ballooned to over 8,294 kilograms of enriched uranium, with material reaching 60% purity just a short step from the 90% enrichment required for weapons-grade capability. According to reports, Iran could manufacture a nuclear warhead within mere weeks if left unchecked.
Netanyahu also warned that the growing range of Iran’s ballistic missiles threatens not only Israel and its immediate neighbors, but also European cities and eventually the U.S. homeland.
This is not a regional issue it is a global crisis. Yet once again, while Israel takes real action to defend itself and prevent a nuclear catastrophe, weak Western leaders sit on the sidelines wringing their hands and offering hollow diplomacy that only emboldens Tehran’s radical regime.
With America’s allies taking bold steps to contain Iran’s nuclear ambitions, it’s clear that strong leadership, not appeasement, is the only answer to the growing threat posed by the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.
