Israel Unleashes Devastating Strikes on Hezbollah, Decimates Top Leadership

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched a powerful offensive against Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon, targeting the group’s military infrastructure and top leadership. This new round of strikes, conducted on Saturday night, led to massive explosions and the destruction of hundreds of Hezbollah targets.

In a statement, the IDF confirmed that they struck approximately 290 Hezbollah targets, including thousands of rocket launcher barrels and other terrorist facilities. The operation is part of Israel’s broader strategy to dismantle Hezbollah’s capabilities and degrade its capacity to strike Israel.

The latest attacks come after Israel executed a highly successful strike earlier in the week, which involved detonating thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies secretly manufactured by Israeli intelligence over the past 15 years. This unprecedented operation crippled Hezbollah’s communication abilities and inflicted severe casualties on the group, with thousands of terrorists injured, many permanently incapacitated.

Among those killed in the strikes was Ibrahim Aqil, Hezbollah’s Head of Operations and Commander of the Radwan Force, who was leading Hezbollah’s plan to invade Israel’s Galilee region. Aqil’s death is a major victory for Israel, as he had been one of the key masterminds behind Hezbollah’s terrorist operations for decades. Aqil was also wanted by the U.S. for his role in the 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut and the Marine Corps barracks, which left 241 U.S. personnel dead.

Hezbollah’s ‘Conquer the Galilee’ Plan Targeted

The Radwan Force, Hezbollah’s elite unit, has been tasked with duplicating the brutal tactics Hamas used in its Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel in the north. Their primary goal was to infiltrate northern Israel’s Galilee region and carry out attacks on Israeli civilians. However, the elimination of Aqil and his top commanders has now severely weakened Hezbollah’s ability to execute this plan.

“The Radwan Force is dedicated to duplicating what happened on Oct. 7 in the south of Israel in the north,” explained Tamir Hayman, a retired general and former head of Israeli military intelligence. Given this threat, Israel cannot afford to allow Hezbollah’s fighters to maintain a presence near its northern border.

With Hezbollah’s leadership nearly wiped out and their military infrastructure in shambles, Israel has sent a clear message to both Hezbollah and its Iranian backers: any attempt to threaten Israel’s security will be met with overwhelming force.
