Israel Bombs Iran’s Evin Prison, Striking Symbol of Regime Brutality
Former prisoners cheer as the heart of Iran’s political repression is hit in bold Israeli strike.

Israel struck at the very heart of the Iranian regime’s apparatus of terror Monday by bombing Evin Prison, the infamous site of torture, executions, and brutal oppression. For decades, the prison has served as the Islamic Republic’s iron fist against its own people and now, it’s been directly targeted.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the strike, stating that under orders from Prime Minister Netanyahu, the IDF launched a powerful assault on regime targets in Tehran. These included not only Evin Prison, but also the Basij militia headquarters, internal Revolutionary Guard offices, and even the regime’s absurd “Destruction of Israel” clock in Palestine Square.
“This was a powerful moment for us,” said Iraj Mesdaghi, a former prisoner who survived unspeakable torture inside Evin. “To see those who tormented us finally being held accountable it’s justice.”
For decades, Evin Prison has symbolized the regime’s cruelty:
Thousands were executed there in 1988 alone after sham trials, many accused of nothing more than opposing the theocratic dictatorship.
Political prisoners have been routinely tortured, including being confined in tiny “grave” cells, whipped with electric cables, and held in isolation for months on end.
Public hangings and violent crackdowns on dissent have made the prison a global symbol of repression.
The airstrike reportedly blew open prison doors. Yet instead of releasing the political prisoners, the regime reacted with predictable cowardice: surrounding the facility with armed guards to prevent anyone from escaping.
Prominent Iranian dissident Masih Alinejad blasted the regime’s response:
“At a time of war, political prisoners must be released, not held hostage. Pressure the Islamic Republic to release them now.”
This strike is more than just military tactics it’s a message. The Iranian regime’s cruelty is no longer safe behind stone walls and guard towers. And its leaders, especially Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, are now forced to wonder if justice is finally catching up with them.
Yet the danger remains. As Mesdaghi warned, if Khamenei survives this, “the regime will retaliate by executing more political prisoners. That’s why the world has to care.”
Israel’s strike was surgical and deliberate a reminder that the free world is watching and acting. While the Biden White House waffles over appeasement and photo-op diplomacy, real justice comes when tyrants face the consequences of their terror.
