Israel's US Ambassador Hints At Massive New Strikes Against Iran
Planned operations will make previous Hezbollah attacks look ‘simple’ as Israel dismantles Tehran’s war machine.

As Israel's war with Iran escalates, Israel's Ambassador to the U.S., Yechiel Leiter, has hinted that what’s coming next will dwarf anything seen so far. In a Tuesday interview on Merit Street, Leiter previewed upcoming Israeli military operations that will make last year's "beeper operation" targeting Hezbollah appear “simple” by comparison.
"We've pulled off a number of surprises," Leiter said. "When the dust settles, you're going to see some surprises on Thursday night and Friday that will make the beeper operation almost seem simple."
Leiter was referring to Israel’s covert operation last September when explosive-laden pagers and walkie-talkies were remotely detonated among Hezbollah members in Lebanon and Syria, killing dozens and injuring thousands. That operation killed at least 12, including two children, wounded nearly 3,000 in one strike, and killed 25 more with over 600 wounded the following day.
While the Biden administration scrambled to distance itself from the operation at the time, a U.S. official confirmed that Israel had briefed American officials after the strikes were carried out. Then-Secretary of State Antony Blinken insisted the U.S. "did not know about, nor was it involved in, these incidents."
Now, as Israel intensifies its campaign against Iran directly, the scope of the operation is even more staggering. According to Leiter, Israel has already neutralized a significant portion of Iran’s offensive arsenal.
"Today we continue to peel back the surface-to-surface missile systems that are spread throughout Iran. We've reached the point where between a third and a half have been demolished," he revealed. One of the latest targets: Tehran’s state-run broadcast center — a key pillar in the mullahs' propaganda machine used to control and intimidate the Iranian public.
"We informed the people living in the vicinity to leave," Leiter explained, noting that hundreds of thousands of Tehran residents have fled the capital. The strike on the broadcast system was not just military it was psychological, directly undermining the regime’s ability to spread disinformation and suppress dissent.
While many speculate that Israel’s strikes are pushing Iran closer to collapse, Leiter made clear that Israel’s mission is focused on eliminating Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile threat, not actively seeking regime change.
"A lot of questions have been asked today about regime change. We’re not in the business of regime change," Leiter said. "We're interested in neutralizing the threat to our existence through a nuclear weaponization program in Iran and a ballistic missile program."
However, he left open the door for the Iranian people to rise up on their own. "If the Iranian people rise up and change their regime, that’s their choice. And if we play a role in facilitating that eventuality, then history will judge us favorably."
Despite the war, Leiter also emphasized that Israel’s economy remains strong, with its stock market rising for the second consecutive day. "We continue to press on. We continue to press forward. And we thank you for your support and prayers," he said.
Key takeaways from Israel’s ongoing operation:
Israel has destroyed between one-third and one-half of Iran’s surface-to-surface missile systems.
Critical infrastructure, including Tehran’s state propaganda broadcast center, has been neutralized.
Israel hints at unprecedented upcoming strikes that will surpass last year’s Hezbollah operations.
The Israeli economy remains stable, even as the conflict intensifies.
While Biden and the Democrats continue to call for "de-escalation" and push for failed diplomatic channels, Israel remains laser-focused on eliminating one of the most dangerous threats to world peace. Tehran’s decades-long pursuit of nuclear weapons, its sponsorship of global terrorism, and its fanatical goal to destroy Israel have reached a breaking point. And now, Israel is making sure that point leads to Tehran’s irreversible strategic defeat.
