Israel Conducts Major Airstrikes Targeting Houthi Terrorists in Yemen

Israel intensified its military campaign against Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen early Thursday, launching a series of airstrikes in retaliation for a missile strike that destroyed an elementary school in Ramat Gan. The escalation highlights the growing reach of Iran’s proxies and Israel’s resolve to neutralize threats against its citizens.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the operation, which involved 14 fighter jets targeting Houthi military assets. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, IDF spokesperson, outlined the strikes' objectives: “Today, the IDF conducted precise strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen including ports and energy infrastructure in Sana’a, which the Houthis have been using in ways that effectively contributed to their military actions.”

Houthi Missile Attack:

• The missile launched by the Houthis struck the Ramat Ef’al elementary school, causing millions of dollars in damage.

• Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the school was empty at the time of the attack.

• The Houthi terrorists have fired over 200 ballistic missiles and launched more than 170 suicide drones targeting Israel, along with frequent attacks on international shipping in the region.

IDF Response:

• The airstrikes targeted critical Houthi infrastructure, including the ports of Hodeida, Salif, and the Ras Isa oil terminal, in addition to energy facilities in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a.

• Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to hold Iran’s proxies accountable, stating, “They are learning and they will learn the hard way, that whoever harms Israel pays a very heavy price for it.”

This military action underscores the deepening threat posed by Iran's axis of terror, which includes Hamas, Hezbollah, and now the Houthis. These groups, heavily supported by Tehran, continue to expand their influence across the Middle East, threatening Israel and global stability.
