Illegal Immigrants Busted With 300 Pounds of Cocaine in Semi-Truck
Sanctuary policies strike again as Newsom’s California grants CDL licenses to criminal aliens hauling $7 million in drugs.

Two illegal immigrants from India were arrested over the weekend after being caught with 309 pounds of cocaine valued at over $7 million inside a semi-truck traveling through Indiana. And once again, this criminal operation ties directly back to the failed sanctuary policies of California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Gurpreet Singh, 25, and Jasveer Singh, 30, were pulled over by Indiana State Police on Saturday after their semi was observed swerving on the road. A K9 unit was deployed, and the dog quickly led officers to a massive stash of cocaine 140 packages carefully hidden in the truck’s sleeper berth.
The most disturbing detail? Both men had been issued commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) by the state of California despite being in the country illegally.
This is what open-border policies and sanctuary city insanity actually look like in practice: criminal aliens given legal cover and credentials to move freely across the country in this case, transporting millions in hard drugs.
According to DHS:
Gurpreet Singh crossed the border illegally in March 2023 and was released into the U.S. under the Biden administration’s disastrous catch-and-release system.
Jasveer Singh entered illegally back in 2017 and was arrested as recently as December 2025 for receiving stolen property in San Bernardino but was released when California refused to honor a federal immigration detainer.
DHS didn’t hold back. Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted Newsom’s policies, stating “Thanks to Gavin Newsom’s reckless policies, these two criminal illegal aliens were granted commercial licenses… Sanctuary policies put American lives at risk.”
She’s absolutely right. This isn’t about paperwork this is about public safety.
Let’s remember:
The U.S. saw over 110,000 drug overdose deaths in 2023, most tied to narcotics like cocaine and fentanyl.
California’s sanctuary cities continue to harbor illegal aliens who have active criminal charges or detainers.
CDL licenses allow drivers to transport massive cargo loads across state lines making them ideal tools for trafficking.
And instead of fixing the problem, California delayed efforts to cancel thousands of CDLs issued to foreign drivers, even after the Trump administration ordered a Jan. 5 deadline and threatened to pull $160 million in federal funding.
What was Newsom’s response? He blamed the federal government. Typical. “Only after the plan became public did your agency suddenly object,” he whined on X.
This is what Democrats call “compassion.” Hand out CDLs to illegal aliens. Let them traffic narcotics across America. Refuse to cooperate with ICE. Then, when it all goes sideways, cry foul and claim victimhood.
President Trump has had enough and so have the American people.
It’s time to restore law and order, revoke every one of these licenses, and start holding sanctuary state officials accountable for enabling drug trafficking and endangering American lives.
