Ilhan Omar Calls America One Of The Worst Countries

The congresswoman who fled war-torn Somalia now compares U.S. democracy to dictatorship.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is once again trashing the country that saved her life and gave her a seat in Congress this time claiming the United States has become “one of the worst countries” in the world.

Speaking on the far-left show “Democracy Now,” Omar railed against President Trump and Republican governors for deploying the National Guard to stop violent anti-ICE riots. According to her, sending troops to maintain law and order somehow makes the U.S. worse than the anarchic nation she fled as a child.

“To now be turned into one of the worst countries, where the military are in our streets without any regard for people’s constitutional rights… it is really shocking,” Omar said. “This is not the country our Founding Fathers imagined.”

What’s truly shocking is the level of ingratitude from someone who owes her freedom to the very country she condemns.

  • Omar and her family fled Somalia in 1995 a country overrun by Islamist militias and tribal warfare and were granted asylum in the United States.

  • Today, she represents Minnesota’s 5th District, home to the largest Somali population in America, many of whom continue to benefit from America’s generosity.

  • Yet Omar routinely slanders the U.S. and equates it to regimes like the Taliban and terror group Hamas.

In 2021, she compared the United States and Israel to terrorist groups, saying all were guilty of “unthinkable atrocities.” In 2019, she claimed America failed to fulfill its “promise” of justice to her family.

There’s no denying Omar has become the go-to voice for the far-left’s anti-American agenda. She’s built her career on tearing down the very nation that gave her every opportunity. And now, as the Biden administration enables lawlessness and weakens our borders, she doubles down, insisting that any effort to enforce order is tyranny.

But here's the truth: deploying the National Guard to restore peace isn’t authoritarian it’s constitutional. Americans deserve to live without fear of violent mobs torching their cities. And if Omar can’t recognize the difference between protecting citizens and dictatorship, maybe it’s time she remembered what real chaos looks like.
