ICE Operations Met with Chaos as Protesters Clash with Federal Agents

Once again, the radical Left showed its true colors in Los Angeles not through peaceful protests or civic engagement, but by obstructing federal law enforcement doing their jobs. Over the weekend, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched targeted operations across the LA area, focusing on illegal immigrants with active deportation orders and serious criminal records. The result? Violent confrontations instigated by left-wing agitators who believe feelings should outweigh the rule of law.

Former Secret Service agent and now FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino had a clear message in response "You bring chaos, we’ll bring handcuffs."

• Multiple protesters were arrested for obstructing federal operations, and Bongino confirmed more arrests are on the way.

• The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that those being targeted had final deportation orders or criminal charges some issued by federal judges.

• Additional law enforcement, including Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), were brought in to reinforce ICE teams due to escalating tensions.

Bongino didn’t mince words:

“The right to assemble and protest does not include a license to attack law enforcement officers or to impede and obstruct our lawful immigration operations.”

This comes amid a broader breakdown in law and order across blue cities, where local politicians continue to demonize ICE while ignoring the flood of illegal crossings at the southern border over 6 million since Biden took office, according to Customs and Border Protection data. To put that in perspective, that’s more than the entire population of Maryland.

Meanwhile, media outlets and progressive politicians falsely claimed ICE was launching "raids" in Home Depot parking lots and kicking down doors. In reality, what they found was a staging area in Paramount, California not a battleground, unless of course, you're looking to pick a fight with the law.

Let’s not forget: this isn’t about racism or xenophobia, as the Left often screams. This is about upholding laws passed by Congress, many of which received bipartisan support. ICE is targeting people already ordered to leave the country by a judge not random immigrants walking down the street.

And yet, Democrat-run cities continue to shield lawbreakers, ignoring the consequences for American citizens. Sanctuary policies aren’t compassionate they’re dangerous. Just last year, nearly 50,000 criminal aliens were released by ICE because local jails refused to honor detainers. That’s tens of thousands of preventable crimes waiting to happen.

If these protests are any indication, the radical fringe is no longer interested in policy debates they want anarchy. But thankfully, we still have men like Dan Bongino and federal agents who are willing to stand their ground and enforce the law.
