ICE Takes Down ‘Ringleader’ of Tren de Aragua in Major Arrest
Trump’s crackdown on foreign criminals leads to key arrest in New York.

Homeland Security agents arrested a ringleader of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in New York City on Tuesday morning, marking a major win for President Donald Trump’s renewed crackdown on criminal illegal aliens.
The suspect, Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, was wanted for kidnapping, burglary, and menacing in connection with the gang’s violent operations in Aurora, Colorado, where Tren de Aragua has terrorized communities and taken over apartment complexes.
The arrest comes just weeks after Trump’s executive order designating Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations, ensuring that federal agencies treat these gangs as national security threats rather than street-level criminals.
Tren de Aragua originated in Venezuelan prisons, evolving into an international crime syndicate focused on sex trafficking, drug smuggling, and human exploitation.
Their brutal tactics include executions and torture, with gang leaders spreading fear through graphic videos of their crimes.
The gang has spread across Latin America and the U.S., taking advantage of Biden’s open-border policies to establish a foothold in American cities.
Aurora, Colorado, has been a hotspot for Tren de Aragua activity, with violent assaults, shootings, and thefts linked to the gang. Mayor Mike Coffman previously called their presence a “nightmare situation”, but under the previous administration, little was done to stop it.
That changed under Trump’s leadership. By empowering law enforcement and prioritizing national security, his administration is making good on its promise to eradicate criminal cartels from U.S. soil.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was on the ground Monday night as agents arrested an illegal alien charged with kidnapping, assault, and burglary.
“Dirtbags like this will continue to be removed from our streets,” Noem declared, making it clear that lawless criminals exploiting America’s borders will no longer get a free pass.
With ICE and Homeland Security ramping up enforcement, foreign gangs no longer have a safe haven in the U.S. Unlike the Democrat-run cities that protected them under sanctuary policies, Trump’s administration is ensuring that criminals face swift justice.
