Assaults on ICE Agents Surge 500% Amid Democrat-Fueled Chaos

Assaults against ICE officers have skyrocketed an alarming 500%, highlighting the dangerous reality facing federal agents as they work to enforce immigration law amid escalating political hostility and leftist violence.

In an exclusive report, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Breitbart News that ICE agents are now under siege not just from violent criminals, but from the politicians who should be backing them.

“Just this week, an ICE officer was dragged 50 yards by a car while arresting an illegal alien sex offender,” McLaughlin said. “Every day the men and women of ICE put their lives on the line to protect and defend the lives of American citizens.”

These aren’t isolated incidents. Riots have spread to Seattle, San Francisco, and other sanctuary cities where lawless mobs, cheered on by progressive officials, are actively undermining federal law enforcement.

McLaughlin laid the blame squarely where it belongs: “Democrat politicians like Hakeem Jeffries, Mayor Wu of Boston, Governor Tim Walz, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles are contributing to the surge in assaults of our ICE officers through their repeated vilification and demonization of ICE.”

These officials have compared ICE agents to Nazis, glorified violent rioters, and even jeopardized agent safety. In Nashville, Mayor Freddie O’Connell released the names of ICE agents working with local police. He called it a “mistake” but DHS officials weren’t buying it.

“There’s zero chance it was a mistake,” McLaughlin said. “There will be repercussions.”

Meanwhile, ICE continues doing the job the Left refuses to do. A recent weeklong operation in Nashville nabbed 196 illegal aliens 95 with prior convictions or charges, and 31 who had illegally re-entered the U.S. after being deported.

But instead of praise, the raid was met with hostility. O’Connell complained he was “frustrated,” proving once again that the Left is more committed to shielding criminals than defending American citizens.

This isn’t just policy failure it’s a moral failure. Our ICE officers are under attack because Democrat leaders have turned law enforcement into the enemy and mobs into heroes.
