Hunter Biden Blames Democrat Elites For Father’s Defeat And Party Meltdown

Hunter Biden is pointing fingers at top Democrats for what he calls a “complete meltdown” of the party that led to President Donald Trump’s decisive victory in the 2024 election. In a candid appearance on the At Our Table podcast with former DNC chair Jaime Harrison, Hunter accused party elites of betraying his father, Joe Biden, during a crucial moment in the race.

“We lost the last election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party,” Hunter said. “We had the advantage of incumbency. We had the advantage of an incredibly successful administration, and the Democratic Party literally melted down.”

Hunter specifically called out former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), suggesting she played a key role in sidelining his father. “They had clearly made a decision. And when I say they, I mean the speaker,” he said.

According to Hunter, while grassroots factions like the Congressional Black Caucus, Hispanic Caucus, and Progressive Caucus stood by Biden, the “fundraisers and elite insiders” in Hollywood and Washington distanced themselves. “The people that are the insiders, the people that say they’re not part of the beltway, but you know where they are? They’re living in Beverly Hills telling you or me what it is that real people care about,” Hunter fumed.

Hunter’s key points in the interview included:

• Denying that his father’s visible mental decline disqualified him, despite widespread concerns after Biden’s disastrous June 2024 debate with Trump.

• Claiming his father “could have won” if Democrats had not turned against him, accusing party insiders of engineering his withdrawal as the nominee.

• Rejecting claims of a cover-up regarding Biden’s mental state, even though Biden’s own physician and a top aide to Jill Biden have invoked the Fifth Amendment in congressional hearings.

Hunter also pushed back on the narrative that Joe Biden was incapacitated. “We watched him get old in front of our eyes. And that does not mean that you’re incapacitated,” he said. “Your gate changes. It does not mean that you do not have the mental capacity to be able to do your job.”

The reality, however, was plain for millions to see. Biden’s halting sentences and confusion during his debate with Trump forced even loyal Democrats to admit his campaign was over. The fallout was swift Biden stepped aside as the Democratic nominee just weeks later.

Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) released a video this week showing clips of Democrats attempting to cover up Biden’s mental decline, arguing the party misled the public for political gain.

Despite Hunter’s defense, Biden’s credibility has long been questioned. He has been caught fabricating personal stories from claiming to have driven 18-wheelers to implying that his late son Beau was killed in Iraq which further eroded public trust.

Hunter Biden’s comments reflect deep fractures within the Democratic Party, which still hasn’t recovered from the disastrous 2024 campaign. With Trump firmly back in the White House, Democrats are now reckoning with the internal sabotage and denial that Hunter says doomed them from the start.
