Mike Huckabee Confirmed as US Ambassador to Israel

In a major win for pro-Israel Americans and defenders of biblical truth, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has been officially confirmed as the next U.S. Ambassador to Israel. The Senate confirmed Huckabee in a 53-46 vote, with just one Democrat Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania breaking ranks to support the nomination.

This is not a typical political appointment. Huckabee is no stranger to Israel. In fact, his support for the Jewish state runs deeper than politics it’s personal and spiritual. His bond with the Holy Land began back in 1973, when he visited as a teenager. Since then, he's led tens of thousands of Americans on pilgrimages to Israel, sharing in its biblical heritage and modern-day struggles.

Senator Tom Cotton praised the move, stating, “Mike has been a lifelong friend of Israel and an ardent supporter and defender of Israel’s right to exist.” And he’s right. Huckabee has never shied away from speaking truth when it comes to Israel’s sovereignty and its biblical inheritance:

• He rejects the leftist terminology of “West Bank” and “settlements,” instead calling them what they are Judea and Samaria, the historic Jewish homeland.

• Huckabee has said that the boundaries of Israel are not dictated by the U.N., but by almighty God.

• He has been a consistent critic of the delusional “two-state solution,” which rewards Palestinian terror while denying Israel’s right to defend itself.

Let’s be clear this is exactly the kind of bold leadership America needs representing us in Jerusalem. The Biden administration spent years cozying up to Iran and appeasing enemies of Israel while ignoring our most important ally in the Middle East. President Trump is reversing that disgraceful legacy by appointing a man who understands not only the politics, but the divine significance of Israel’s role in the world.

Huckabee has also long championed Trump’s historic decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in 2018 something that every past president had promised, but only Trump had the courage to do. Huckabee said it best “The only people who have ever had Yerushalayim as a capital have been the Jews. Nobody else has ever made this city a capital, ever.”

Now, as ambassador, he’ll continue to stand firm against international pressure to divide Israel or delegitimize its right to exist. His appointment is a signal to the world that under Trump, America stands unapologetically with Israel fully and without compromise.
