Holocaust Museum Rebukes Walz After He Links ICE Actions to Nazi Era

Democrats' dangerous rhetoric slammed as antisemitism and anti-law enforcement sentiment spike nationwide.

It’s a sad day in America when defending the men and women of federal law enforcement becomes a controversial act but that’s exactly where we are, thanks to radical Democrats like Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

This week, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum publicly condemned Walz for making a vile and ignorant comparison between ICE agents and Nazi soldiers, after the Democrat governor suggested the next “Anne Frank” could be a child in Minnesota hiding from immigration enforcement.

Let that sink in: a sitting U.S. governor invoked the Holocaust the systematic genocide of six million Jews to take a cheap political shot at American law enforcement officers enforcing immigration laws.

“Anne Frank was targeted and murdered solely because she was Jewish,” the museum wrote in its statement. “Leaders making false equivalencies to her experience for political purposes is never acceptable.”

Walz made the comparison in response to the fatal shooting of an armed agitator who attempted to interfere with a Border Patrol operation. Rather than support officers under threat, he painted them as the enemy and likened them to the Gestapo—Nazi Germany’s secret police.

He’s not alone in this disgusting trend.

  • New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill said on CNN that ICE agents were like East Germany’s Stasi, another secret police force used to crush dissent.

  • California Governor Gavin Newsom, speaking from the luxury of the World Economic Forum in Davos, said Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino looked like he was wearing SS gear from eBay, calling him part of a “masked private army.”

This kind of rhetoric is reckless, dangerous, and false. It demonizes patriotic Americans who put their lives on the line to protect our borders and remove violent criminal aliens from our communities murderers, human traffickers, gang members, and rapists. ICE officers are not stormtroopers. They are federal agents operating under the rule of law, with oversight and transparency something totalitarian regimes never had.

But Democrats don’t care. They’re not interested in facts or history. They’re interested in scoring cheap political points, and if that means dragging the Holocaust into the gutter of identity politics, so be it.

And the results are devastating. According to law enforcement sources, threats and assaults against ICE and Border Patrol agents have skyrocketed, with families of officers now receiving death threats due to inflammatory language from top Democratic officials.

This is the real incitement not enforcing immigration law, but stoking hatred against those who do.

The Holocaust Museum, which rarely enters the political fray, clearly felt the line had been crossed. They called Walz’s remarks “deeply offensive,” especially in light of surging antisemitism both in the U.S. and around the world. And they’re right.

Equating law enforcement with genocidal murderers minimizes the Holocaust, insults the memory of its victims, and poisons public discourse. It also ignores the real horrors happening at the hands of cartels and traffickers across our southern border crimes that ICE is trying to stop.

This isn’t about compassion. It’s about control. Democrats want open borders, and anyone who gets in the way agents, officers, or even Holocaust survivors are collateral damage in their war on American sovereignty.

Let this be a wake-up call: America needs real leadership, not fearmongering from the radical Left.
