DHS Accuses Hilton of Targeting ICE Agents in Minneapolis Hotel Ban

Leaked emails show hotel refusing rooms to federal immigration agents as corporate wokeness endangers national security.

In a shocking move that underscores just how far corporate wokeness has gone, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed Monday that Hilton Hotels blocked federal immigration agents from booking rooms at one of its properties in Minneapolis simply because they work for ICE.

In a post on X, DHS shared damning screenshots of emails sent to agents who had booked government-rate rooms using official email addresses. Those reservations were not only canceled, but the hotel’s management made it abundantly clear that this was a policy decision, not a one-off mistake.

“@HiltonHotels has launched a coordinated campaign in Minneapolis to REFUSE service to DHS law enforcement,” DHS wrote. “This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement?”

The emails are unambiguous. One stated, “We are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property,” and urged the agent to “pass this info to your coworkers.” Another cancellation email bluntly referenced “immigration work connected with your name” as the reason for the denial.

This isn’t just anti-cop sentiment it’s corporate sabotage of federal law enforcement. At a time when our border is overrun, fentanyl is pouring into our communities, and cartels operate freely in major U.S. cities, a major hotel chain has chosen to blacklist those trying to uphold immigration law.

Let’s be clear:

  • ICE agents are the front line of defending our borders and deporting violent criminals.

  • Over 3.2 million illegal encounters were recorded at the southern border in fiscal year 2023.

  • And in Minneapolis, where this incident occurred, violent crime surged 21% since 2020, including crimes committed by individuals who never should’ve been in the country to begin with.

Denying these agents a hotel room isn’t just petty it’s reckless and dangerous.

Hilton quickly attempted to do damage control, saying in a statement that the hotel is “independently owned and operated,” and that the actions of the property in question “are not reflective of Hilton values.” They also promised to “investigate” the matter.

But that raises even more questions. If Hilton slaps its name on the building and profits from the brand, then it owns the consequences of that brand’s actions independent or not.

This incident fits a disturbing trend where woke corporations are more interested in virtue signaling than public safety. Whether it’s airlines refusing to fly migrant detainees or tech companies censoring border security discussions, there’s a coordinated effort to undermine immigration enforcement and punish those tasked with carrying it out.

Here’s the bottom line:

If ICE agents aren’t welcome at Hilton, maybe American patriots shouldn’t be either. No one is obligated to spend their money supporting businesses that cave to radical, anti-law enforcement ideologies.

DHS officials are right to call this what it is a disgraceful effort to hamper national security and protect criminals instead of the American people.
