Hegseth Slams Woke Garbage At Fort Bragg As Soldiers Cheer
Trump and Hegseth electrify troops with promises to restore Warrior Ethos and purge leftist politics from the military.

The Biden-era experiment with woke politics in the military is officially being dismantled and the troops couldn’t be happier. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a fiery speech at Fort Bragg this week, blasting the "woke garbage" that infiltrated the armed forces under Democrat leadership, and the soldiers on the ground roared their approval.
Hegseth joined President Donald Trump at Fort Bragg to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday, only hours after his testimony before the House Appropriations Committee. Speaking directly to the troops, Hegseth laid out Trump’s vision to bring back discipline, strength, and focus to America’s military not social experiments.
“So at the Defense Department, we’re doing three critical things at [President Trump’s] direction,” Hegseth began. “Number one, we’re restoring the Warrior Ethos.”
Shouts of "Yeah!" echoed from the soldiers.
“We’re getting back to basics,” he continued, as the crowd’s enthusiasm grew.
“Standards, accountability, readiness, training, war fighting, lethality. We’re not a college or university. We’re not interested in your woke garbage or your political correctness," Hegseth declared, sparking wild cheers and applause from the troops who have grown tired of the leftist social agenda infecting the military ranks.
President Trump also addressed the soldiers and wasted no time calling out the absurd decision by the Biden administration to rename the historic base.
“It’s a beautiful sight to be with you in a place called Fort … Bragg,” Trump said, pausing with emphasis. The troops responded with another eruption of applause.
“Can you believe they changed that name in the last administration for a little bit?” Trump added, prompting loud boos. “But we, we’ll forget all about that, won’t we? We’re gonna forget all about it.”
Key points driving the administration’s push to restore military strength:
Under Biden, recruitment hit a 25-year low as the Pentagon prioritized DEI initiatives, pronoun training, and critical race theory over combat readiness.
A 2024 Gallup poll showed confidence in the military dropping to 60%, down from 74% in 2018, as political correctness replaced warrior culture.
Trump and Hegseth’s reforms focus on rebuilding standards, enforcing accountability, and returning to the military’s core mission: to fight and win wars.
The reception at Fort Bragg showed clearly where America’s soldiers stand and it’s not with the woke elites running Washington under Biden. The men and women in uniform want leadership that prioritizes their mission and respects the proud traditions they serve to defend.
With the Army’s 250th birthday and Trump’s 79th birthday both being celebrated this week, the contrast between true leadership and leftist politics has never been sharper. Trump’s commitment to restoring the military’s honor is being felt and loudly cheered by those who serve.
