Hegseth Issues Warning to Iran Over Nuclear Weapons Program
Trump administration applies maximum pressure, reversing Biden’s weakness on Iran.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth issued a clear and powerful warning to Iran this weekend: end your nuclear ambitions now, or prepare to face the full might of the U.S. military.
Appearing on Fox News, Hegseth emphasized that the Trump administration’s strong foreign policy has left Iran and its terrorist proxies severely weakened a stark turnaround from the Biden years, when Tehran was flush with cash and free to stir chaos in the Middle East.
“Iran is in a very weakened state,” Hegseth stated.
Iran’s client regimes, such as Syria, are collapsing.
Terrorist proxies like Hezbollah, Hamas, and insurgents in Iraq have been pushed back.
Iran is relying on the Houthis to instigate conflict due to its diminished capacity.
But make no mistake the threat remains.Hegseth stressed that Iran is at a “critical moment.” "They can choose to make a deal that stops their nuclear program, or the program will be terminated by the U.S. military."
The urgency is real. While classified intelligence prevents public knowledge of just how close Iran is to building a nuclear weapon, Hegseth made it clear that the Trump administration is monitoring closely and prepared to act decisively.
This is the Trump doctrine in action:
Apply maximum pressure to bankrupt the Iranian regime.
Cut off funds to their terror proxies like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.
Use diplomacy backed by overwhelming military strength.
It’s a sharp contrast to the Biden years, when billions in sanctions relief flowed to Tehran, empowering its militias to attack U.S. forces and destabilize allies. In 2022 alone, Iran-backed militias launched more than 80 attacks on U.S. positions in Iraq and Syria.
Now, that era of weakness is over. Trump’s leadership makes it clear. No nuclear Iran. No terrorist proxies awash in cash. No tolerance for threats to America and its allies.
