Hamas Kills Six Hostages, Including American-Israeli Hersh Goldberg-Polin

As Biden pressures Israel, Hamas continues its murderous rampage.

The tragic discovery of six hostages, including 23-year-old American-Israeli Hersh Goldberg-Polin, brutally murdered by Hamas in Gaza, has sent shockwaves around the world. The bodies were found by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in a tunnel beneath Rafah, a city in southern Gaza, just days after the Biden administration pressured Israel to avoid a military operation in the area.

  • Hersh Goldberg-Polin, along with five other hostages, was taken by Hamas during the Nova Music Festival in October.

  • The hostages were found in an underground tunnel, where they were savagely executed by Hamas terrorists just before Israeli forces could reach them.

  • The bodies were discovered in Rafah, the last stronghold of Hamas, where the Biden administration had urged Israel to refrain from military action.

The discovery came on the heels of Israel’s successful rescue of another hostage, Qaid Farhan Al-Qadi, from a similar tunnel in the same area. Among the deceased were IDF Master Sgt. Ori Danino, 25, Carmel Gat, 40, Alexander Lobanov, 32, Almog Sarusi, 27, and Eden Yerushalmi, 24.

In response to this tragedy, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris expressed their outrage and condemnation of Hamas. Harris, while condemning the terror group, failed to acknowledge her earlier stance against the military operation in Rafah. In a March interview, she and President Biden had described any military action in the city as a "huge mistake," arguing that it would lead to unnecessary civilian casualties.

Despite repeated warnings from the Biden administration, Israel launched its offensive in Rafah in May, setting up refugee camps and safe corridors for civilians to escape. This action has resulted in the rescue of several hostages, even as the administration's hesitation likely cost the lives of others, including those found recently.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party faces increasing pressure from its left-wing factions to push for a ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, despite the threat Hamas continues to pose. Pro-Palestinian protesters recently marched on the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, urging the administration to adopt a harsher stance against Israel.

The heartbreaking story of Hersh Goldberg-Polin and his fellow captives is a stark reminder of the high stakes in the fight against terrorism. As Israel continues its mission to eradicate Hamas, it's clear that the costs of inaction are far too great to ignore.
