Hamas Confirms Deaths of Five Senior Leaders in Major Blow to Terror Network
As Israeli strikes intensify and Trump tightens pressure, Hamas suffers one of its worst leadership losses yet.

In a stunning admission of weakness, Hamas officially confirmed Monday that five of its senior leaders have been killed marking one of the most devastating blows to the terrorist organization since the war in Gaza began.
Among the dead is Mohammed al-Sinwar, brother of notorious Hamas figure Yahya al-Sinwar, who was a key wartime commander. Israel had previously announced his death in a targeted airstrike beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis. Hamas’ statement, issued through its armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, finally confirmed the strike’s success though it did not specify when the death occurred.
Even more symbolic was the group's confirmation of the death of Abu Obeida, the masked spokesman who for years served as the chilling public face of Hamas’ military wing. For the first time, Hamas revealed his real name Hudhayfa Samir Abdullah al-Kahlout after previously denying reports of his death in an Israeli strike on Gaza City back in August.
The confirmed deaths include:
Mohammed al-Sinwar – senior commander and key tactical leader
Abu Obeida (Hudhayfa al-Kahlout) – infamous masked spokesman of al-Qassam Brigades
Raed Saad – top operations planner involved in the Oct. 7 massacre of Israeli civilians
Mohammed Shabanah – head of Hamas’ Rafah Brigade
Hakam al-Issa – veteran commander and founding member of al-Qassam Brigades
Israeli defense officials hailed the operation as a critical dismantling of Hamas’ strategic brain trust, especially with Saad’s death, who was directly linked to planning the October 7 attack that killed 1,200 Israelis and resulted in over 250 hostages.
This wave of high-profile eliminations comes despite an October ceasefire, exposing the truth: Israel’s commitment to eradicating Hamas leadership hasn’t wavered—and neither has Hamas’ refusal to truly disarm or retreat.
That may now be changing under renewed pressure from President Donald Trump, who met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago on Monday. Following the meeting, Trump issued a stern warning to Hamas:
“They’re going to be given a very short period of time to disarm,” Trump said. “The next phase of the Gaza peace plan could move forward quickly if Hamas lays down its weapons.”
Trump’s message was clear peace will come through strength not appeasement.
This is the kind of foreign policy leadership America lacked under Biden, who allowed Hamas to regroup, pressured Israel to “show restraint,” and empowered terror-sympathetic voices in Washington. Now, under Trump, U.S. support for Israel is unapologetic and absolute.
The confirmation of these deaths particularly of Abu Obeida marks a symbolic and strategic collapse for Hamas. The myth of their invincibility is crumbling.
Hamas is bleeding leadership. Its tunnel network is being obliterated. Its propaganda machine is falling silent.
And all of it underscores a simple truth: when America stands firmly with its allies, evil is defeated. Not through negotiations. Not through UN resolutions. But through strength, precision, and zero tolerance for terror.
