Bus Attack by Hamas Leaves 5 U.S. Aid Program Workers Dead, Others Missing

As Trump’s humanitarian plan delivers millions of meals, Hamas responds with bloodshed.

In a brutal display of violence that exposes the true nature of Hamas, five workers with the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) were murdered Wednesday night in a coordinated bus attack. The victims were Gazans who had been risking their lives to deliver humanitarian aid to their own people under President Trump’s aid initiative one specifically designed to bypass Hamas’ control and ensure civilians actually receive desperately needed food and supplies.

The bus was carrying around two dozen GHF workers en route to a distribution center west of Khan Yunis when Hamas launched the deadly assault. Several others were injured, and reports indicate some may have been kidnapped during the attack, raising further fears about the terrorist group's barbaric tactics.

In a statement, GHF condemned Hamas for what it rightfully called “an attack on humanity,” declaring:
"These were aid workers. Humanitarians. Fathers, brothers, sons, and friends, who were risking their lives every day to help others."

Key facts from the attack and its context:

  • None of the American contractors working with GHF were on the bus at the time.

  • Hamas had issued multiple threats against both aid workers and civilians receiving the humanitarian aid in the days leading up to the attack.

  • The GHF directly blamed Hamas, stating, “The GHF holds Hamas fully responsible for taking the lives of our dedicated workers who have been distributing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.”

While Hamas carries out these atrocities, GHF had just achieved a major milestone earlier the same day delivering its largest daily food distribution to date: 2.5 million meals. Since its operations began only two weeks ago, GHF has already delivered over 16 million meals through roughly 271,200 food boxes. This accomplishment underscores both the effectiveness of Trump’s plan and the real threat it poses to Hamas’ control over Gaza.

This attack isn’t just another act of terrorism it’s a direct assault on President Trump’s strategic effort to cut Hamas off from the foreign aid pipelines they've exploited for years. For decades, billions of dollars in international aid have flowed into Gaza, only to be hijacked by Hamas for weapons, tunnels, and terror. Trump’s initiative, executed through GHF, breaks that cycle by working with Israel to secure the safe and honest delivery of aid directly to civilians.

The larger picture:

  • GHF operates independently but coordinates with Israel and the IDF solely to ensure safe delivery routes.

  • U.S. military veterans from Safe Reach Solutions and UG Solutions have been involved in securing aid convoys, adding critical expertise to keep Hamas at bay.

  • The Biden administration has done little to stop Hamas’ ongoing aggression, while Trump’s plan is actively protecting both aid workers and Palestinian civilians from Hamas’ grip.

As GHF expands operations, it hopes to collaborate with other international aid organizations, including UN-affiliated groups, to ensure that supplies reach those in need not terrorists. But as this latest attack proves, Hamas will stop at nothing to maintain their stranglehold on Gaza, even if it means murdering their own people.

The world is once again witnessing the difference between true leadership and weakness. While Trump’s policies offer real solutions and real aid to those suffering under Hamas, the terrorists respond with violence, and the global left remains largely silent.
