Hamas Tortures and Murders Young Gazan for Protesting Their Rule

Anti-Hamas uprising grows in Gaza as terrorists kill 22-year-old Odai al-Rabei for speaking out.

In a chilling act of brutality, Hamas terrorists abducted, tortured, and murdered 22-year-old Odai al-Rabei a young Gazan who dared to protest the terrorist regime's grip on Gaza. His mutilated body was returned to his family in Gaza City, prompting a rare and growing wave of public outrage against Hamas rule.

Images of Odai’s tortured corpse have circulated widely across social media, igniting fury among Gazans and exposing the horrific tactics used by Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades to silence dissent. His family, heartbroken and enraged, called out the “sinful, rogue group affiliated with the Qassem Brigades,” accusing them of torturing their son to death “with all kinds of hard tools.”

“Odai fasted Ramadan, he prayed, and he read the Quran,” his family said. “We call on all human rights organizations and institutions to stand in support of the people of Gaza against these criminals.”

His funeral was packed with thousands of angry mourners chanting, “In spirit and blood we’ll redeem you, Odai,” and “Out, out, out! Hamas out!”

The murder of al-Rabei follows days of rare street protests across Gaza marking a turning point in the population’s willingness to stand up against Hamas. Demonstrators in northern Gaza’s Beit Lahiya carried white flags, demanding an end to Hamas rule and the release of Israeli hostages.

Palestinian activist Hamza Howidy revealed that in his final social media post, Odai condemned Hamas for terrorizing his family and shooting his brother. He paid for that defiance with his life.

Israeli leaders praised the bravery of the protesters. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset, “This shows that our policy is working,” referring to ongoing Israeli military pressure on Hamas. Defense Minister Israel Katz went further, urging more Gazans to rise up: “This is the only way to stop the war.”

Katz also issued a stark warning “The more Hamas persists in its refusal to release the hostages, the more territory it will lose, which will be annexed to Israel.”

The Israeli military has already eliminated over a dozen senior Hamas leaders in recent weeks. Ground operations have ramped up in central and southern Gaza, aimed at driving a wedge through Hamas-controlled areas and creating new buffer zones.

Despite international pressure, Netanyahu remains firm “As long as Hamas refuses to release our hostages, the pressure we apply will become stronger and stronger.”

Hamas continues to prove it's not just Israel’s enemy it’s the enemy of the very people it claims to govern. The Gazan people are beginning to see that. The only question now is whether the world will stand with them.
