Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Trump Over Netanyahu and Zelenskyy Meetings

As Trump re-engages globally, Greene demands focus on America first and slams foreign entanglements.

As President Donald Trump ramps up diplomatic efforts abroad, meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is pushing back with a sharp rebuke that echoes the sentiments of countless everyday Americans.

“Can we just do America?” Greene asked pointedly on X (formerly Twitter) after Trump’s high-profile meeting with Zelenskyy at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday, and ahead of Monday’s meeting with Netanyahu.

It’s a sentiment that hits home. While Washington obsesses over foreign wars and endless aid packages, American cities are struggling, southern borders remain wide open, and inflation continues to hurt working families. Greene’s critique strikes at the heart of a growing frustration among conservatives: why are U.S. leaders always prioritizing the rest of the world, while Americans are told to wait their turn?

Here’s the reality:

  • The U.S. has sent over $113 billion to Ukraine since the war with Russia began in 2022. What has that achieved? No peace, no progress just a bottomless pit of taxpayer dollars.

  • Aid to Israel stands at around $3.8 billion annually, with growing pressure from both sides of the aisle to cut or restrict the funds amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

  • Meanwhile, U.S. veterans sleep on the streets, fentanyl pours across the border, and interest rates crush the middle class.

Trump's meeting with Zelenskyy centered on a "peace plan" for Ukraine a war that Biden escalated with reckless spending and empty promises. Netanyahu’s visit follows a $108 billion Israeli investment to make their defense industry independent, a move prompted by the Biden administration's failure to stand firmly with Israel and its right to defend itself.

Greene, a long-time critic of foreign military aid, has made her stance clear. She previously referred to Zelenskyy as "a dictator who canceled elections" a reference to Ukraine’s suspension of elections amid martial law and has labeled Israel’s operations in Gaza a humanitarian crisis.

Her comments come at a tense moment in her relationship with Trump. The two have sparred in recent months, particularly after Greene pushed to release documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case something Trump opposed. He even went so far as to call her a “traitor” and withdraw his endorsement, signaling a public rift between two prominent America First voices.

Yet despite the feud, Greene’s message resonates deeply America first shouldn’t just be a campaign slogan it should be the cornerstone of every decision coming out of the Oval Office.

With Trump poised to return to the White House in 2025, conservatives are watching closely. Will his second term stay laser-focused on securing America’s borders, rebuilding the economy, and protecting our citizens first or will global distractions derail the mission?

At a time when our country is stretched thin and bleeding strength, Greene's words serve as a necessary reminder that patriotism starts at home.
