Lindsey Graham Urges Israel To Target Iran, The Power Behind Hezbollah

Calls Out Biden Administration For Enabling Iran's Reign of Terror.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is calling for decisive action in the Middle East, urging Israel to directly target Iran, the true force behind Hezbollah and much of the region's terrorism. During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, Graham emphasized that nothing will change in the region until Iran is held accountable for funding and orchestrating attacks like the ones carried out by Hezbollah.

The conversation followed Israel’s recent operation in which it detonated thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah terrorists, leaving dozens dead and wounding thousands. While that strike weakened Hezbollah’s immediate capabilities, Graham argued it’s not enough.

“October the 7th was designed to stop normalization,” Graham explained, referencing Hamas’ brutal assault on Israel earlier this month. He pointed to Iran’s desperate efforts to derail peace in the region, particularly the groundbreaking Abraham Accords brokered by President Trump which brought historic normalization of relations between Israel and Arab nations. Now, Iran’s focus is on stopping Saudi Arabia from following suit.

Graham made it clear that if Israel wants to deal with Hezbollah once and for all, they must go after Iran itself, calling the Islamic Republic the “great Satan”.

Key Takeaways from Graham’s Interview:

  • Iran orchestrates regional terrorism: Iran is not only funding Hezbollah but also playing a key role in backing Hamas and other terror groups aiming to destabilize the region.

  • Biden's appeasement policies: Graham criticized the Biden administration for letting Iran “run wild” by lifting sanctions and effectively giving the regime $80 billion in relief, empowering them to finance more terrorism.

  • A shift in strategy: Israel cannot simply create buffer zones in Lebanon to contain Hezbollah; they must target the regime in Tehran that pulls the strings.

“To my friends in Israel, you’re fighting the proxies. Fight the source, the great Satan, Iran,” Graham urged. He didn’t mince words when it came to the Biden administration’s failures. He pointed out that Biden’s Iran policy has emboldened the regime, warning that unless the U.S. and Israel take stronger action, Iran’s influence will continue to spread terror throughout the region.

Graham's warning is clear: without confronting Iran head-on, both Israel and the broader Middle East will continue to face constant threats from Iran’s proxies. The peace achieved through the Abraham Accords is at risk, and Biden's weak foreign policy only strengthens Iran’s grip on the region.
