House Republicans Consider Subpoenaing Joe and Jill Biden Over Mental Decline Cover-Up

As Biden aides plead the Fifth, GOP leaders push for answers and question who was really running the White House.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are ramping up pressure on the Biden family as a sweeping investigation into alleged cover-ups of President Joe Biden’s mental decline continues to gain traction. Now, GOP leaders aren’t ruling out compelling both Joe and Jill Biden to testify before Congress.

“Every option's on the table,” said Chairman James Comer (R-KY). “We're going to try to get answers. We're going to try to do this rapidly.”

The committee has been investigating whether top White House aides concealed Biden’s deteriorating condition, potentially allowing key decisions to be made without his full awareness. At the heart of the probe is growing concern that executive actions including autopen signatures on official documents may have been carried out without the president’s direct involvement.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) took it further, suggesting that every Biden administration official up to and including Jill Biden should face questioning.

“As far as I'm concerned, every member of the Biden administration at this point needs to be subpoenaed,” Donalds said. “I don’t care if they were a secretary. I don’t care if they were a janitor. They’ve all got to come in and answer questions.”

Asked whether that included the former first lady, he didn’t hesitate “Of course.”

The comments came after a closed-door deposition with Anthony Bernal, Jill Biden’s longtime aide and “right-hand man,” who was subpoenaed by the committee. Bernal invoked the Fifth Amendment and exited the hearing after less than an hour the fourth Biden aide to do so, following former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor and deputy chief of staff Annie Tomasini.

“If he came in here and pleaded the Fifth,” Donalds said, “the former first lady’s got to come in here and answer questions.”

It’s a stunning development and a sign that Republicans are seriously questioning who was actually making decisions in the Biden White House. At issue is whether Biden was mentally and physically fit to lead, and whether his staff and possibly his wife were shielding him from scrutiny while others ran the show behind the scenes.

The Biden camp, predictably, denies everything. Biden told The New York Times this week that he “made every decision” himself despite mounting evidence that major actions were carried out through surrogates, including the now-infamous use of autopen for legal pardons.

Let’s not forget:

  • Multiple White House aides have now refused to testify, invoking the Fifth instead.

  • Jill Biden’s top aide walked out of questioning after barely an hour.

  • The White House’s narrative continues to collapse, as even allies question the president’s cognitive state.

And yet the mainstream media shrugs, pretending this is business as usual.

But the American people aren’t fooled. They deserve to know who was actually in control while Joe Biden sat in the Oval Office or worse, whether the country was being led by unelected handlers operating under the veil of presidential authority.

This investigation is only getting started. And if the Bidens have nothing to hide, they should welcome the chance to clear the record.
